Celebs Rally For Injured But Brave Bebe Rexha After Update: ‘I’m Good’

On June 19, a concertgoer threw a phone on stage, right at Bebe Rexha, injuring her and forcing her to pause her NYC show for medical treatment. The singer recently updated her Instagram showing the cut just above her eye, boldly saying, “I’m Good.”

Friends, fans and celebrities have rallied around the 33-year-old, wishing him a speedy recovery and sending him all their love as the attacker is charged with his crime.

Taking a cue from her song, Rexha told her fans, “I’m Good”, posting two pictures of her injuries on Instagram, showing her with a deep cut above her eye and a black eye as well.

The injury occurred after a concertgoer, now identified as Nicolas Malvagna, threw a phone onto the stage that hit him in the face. Shortly after, fan video showed Raxha turning away from the crowd, holding her face, while kneeling on stage in pain. The crew quickly rushed to her aid and the rest of the show was canceled as Rexha then went to seek treatment for her injuries, receiving stitches for the same.

Now, he’s telling his fans he’s fine, though many are reacting with shock and horror at what has happened, as one angry fan commented:

“It’s very unacceptable what happened to you. I’m willing to bet this crime was by a man. Another example of women being made to feel insecure and afraid in their work because of an insecure boy. I’m sorry and I hope this person brought to justice.”

Concertgoers and sharp-eyed security quickly spotted the assailant, and the NYPD responded to the scene to arrest 27-year-old Nicolas Malvagna, charging him with a felony for using a phone as a weapon.

Here is a video of the man, proudly identifying himself:

According to the New York Post, Malvagna allegedly carried out the attack for his own amusement. Pelter gave a statement on the phone, saying, “I’m trying to see if I can hit him with the phone at the end of the show because it’s going to be funny.”

We doubt he saw the joke after being charged with assault, aggravated harassment, attempted assault and harassment. The New Jersey resident was released without bail following Monday’s hearing and ordered to stay away from Rexha.

In the meantime, the singer will continue “the best night of my life,” as it should be!
