Charles Bronson was born in Ehrenfeld, Pennsylvania. His full name is Charles Dennis Buchinsky. He was the 11th child of his parents who had fifteen children. He was born into a Roman Catholic family. His father used to work in a coal mine. His mother was born in Tamaqua. Charles Bronson was born in America but he could not speak English in his childhood.

There were many other children at that time who could not speak English. He was born and raised in the US but still has a distinct accent. His father died when Charles was young and he did not know him very well.

All his siblings always hid when his father came home. Charles mentioned this in an interview. In 1933 his father left the world and Charles went to the coal mines to work and earn a living for his family. He used to earn a dollar for a ton of coal.

He and his siblings work in the dangerous coal mining environment to earn money for the family. Once he got an opportunity in Hollywood, he couldn’t turn back and one after another he worked in more than a hundred films. He performed on screen until 1999 when his health began to decline.
