Chelsea Handler is having a rough time in the dating cycle. She shares some of the bad guys she met in her pursuit of love.

The comedian appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show and exchange cringy dating stories with each other. Both women have used dating apps at one point or another, but now it’s Handler’s turn to look into the app and she doesn’t have anything good to report back so far.
The 47-year-old began with a story about a man who called her only to tell her that he was married with children! “I was talking to this guy and we were texting and the third text in he was like, ‘Oh I just put the kids to bed with my wife.'”
The operator was clearly shocked “I read it back and I said, ‘What?’ and then I came back and he said, ‘Just here for friends, married with kids,’ and I thought, ‘Who uses dating apps to meet friends?'”
“Like if you don’t have friends…I’m like, ‘Look my friends aren’t talking to you to be friends.’ I know that’s very strange to me and I’m looking and I think that’s a category where you can be like, ‘I’m just here to meet people,’” said Chelsey Lately host.

Barrymore knows exactly what Handler is going through she’s had some dating issues herself in the past and in the not so distant past. “I saw that I was just here to be friends and I was like, ‘Well we’re all shopping here and if your cart is full why are you here?'” she joked.
Barrymore shared her own strange story, a man wrote on her profile, “I grew up above a cobbler’s shop so the smell of leather is very nostalgic and every time I smell it I am transported back to my childhood.”
When she referred to the beautiful sentiment, the man returned with a surprising answer. “I was like joking, ‘Well if I smell any skin today, I’ll tell you,’ but I said, ‘Interesting story,’ and he said, ‘Oh I’m making it up,’ and I just went, ‘Block.’”

Needless to say, Handler has met a surprising number of people in the past. She had a life/death relationship with rapper turned TV show creator and producer 50 Cent. Fellow comedian Jo Koy also had the chance to meet Handler.
He once said about her and their relationship, once it ended, “Jo – you have opened my creativity, my desire to work hard again, to be on the road again, and you remind me who I am and always was, and I never more firmly planted in the ground.”
The operator also met chef Bobby Flay for a while. The two were seen dating in 2016, she has even met a businessman and an animal trainer in her quest to find the one! Hopefully, Handler continues to share her dating stories if they’re entertaining.
