Cher’s estranged son Elijah Blue Allman appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom on Friday, a day after his superstar mother said he was missing – where a judge refused to immediately place him under temporary conservatorship.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Jessica A. Uzcategui ruled that Cher’s lawyers did not provide Allman and his lawyers with the necessary documents to give them enough time to make their case.
Another hearing is scheduled for Jan. 29.
Allman, 47, appeared with his wife, singer Mariangela “Queeny” King, but the “Believe” actor was absent.
Cher’s lawyer spoke on her behalf and asked the judge to grant her request immediately, arguing it was a “life and death situation.”
“We need the ability today to recover the money on Mr. Allman’s behalf to make sure the money is taken care of,” one of Cher’s attorneys told Judge Uzcategui.
Last week, the Academy Award-winning actor, 77, filed a petition to take control of his son’s finances, saying his battle with addiction and severe mental health problems left him unable to manage his money.
In a new filing Thursday, Cher argued that immediate action was needed or her life would be “at risk.”
“Such funds will immediately be spent on drugs, leaving Elijah without assets to support himself and putting his life at risk,” he said in the petition obtained by Page Six.

Meanwhile, Allman, who remained mostly silent during Friday’s brief hearing, also asked the judge to relieve his court-appointed attorney from his case because he had obtained counsel of his own.
Allman and King were accompanied by their legal team and declined to comment on the case.

Regina Ratner, King’s divorce attorney, confirmed to The Post that her client and Allman decided to dismiss their divorce case on Tuesday.
“They have been trying to reconcile since April and that has happened now,” Ratner said.
The petition for conservatorship comes a year after King alleged in divorce papers that Cher had hired four men to kidnap her husband from a New York hotel room in an apparent attempt to get him into rehab.

The “Pop Goddess” has denied the kidnapping allegations.
In a statement released by her record label, Verdict Music, King slammed the “Moonstruck” actress for trying to put her husband in a “locked cage” without her consent.
“I’ve always been a champion for the sober community and for Elijah’s sobriety,” he said.
“I have full confidence in a legitimate, ethically run, HIPAA-protected American medical establishment that offers time-tested treatment for those suffering from substance abuse or any mental health problem. What I am not ok with is an organization that excludes me (his wife) from being a part of Elijah’s treatment and hope for recovery.”

“I do not agree with pop-up, temporary, unethical recovery scams that take full advantage of families in desperate situations and attempt to fraudulently exploit insurance companies for services not provided,” King continued.
“I am deeply displeased when Elijah was forced under false pretenses on or about October 17, 2023 to participate in an alternative medicine regimen and then thrown into a lock-up facility in Mexico, sleeping behind a locked cage with six other individuals, under Conservatorship Mexico.”
King, dressed in a cream suit, held her husband’s hand as they left court on Friday.
