The model has been open about her alcohol dependency before, as The Blast reports that Burke revealed that she is a “functioning addict.” During a discussion on Facebook Watch’s “Red Table Talk,” he told the host:

“I use alcohol to numb myself. I’m an addict. I’m a functioning addict. When I’m not drinking, people say, ‘What’s wrong with you?'”

However, she admitted that despite being sober for four years, it was challenging due to her public divorce with her ex-partner. The “I Can Do That” guest star stated that it hurts more because she doesn’t want to be like her parents, who split up. He realizes he needs to prioritize himself and calmness by taking it slowly.
