The professional dancer revealed that she is embarking on a new project inspired by the popular dance competition series that will feature her sharing some behind-the-scenes details. Burke has been considering leaving “DWTS” following the release of her iHeartRadio podcast titled “Sex, Lies, & Spray Tans.” He talked about the exciting new venture, which offers listeners a behind-the-scenes look at “DWTS,” in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE.

“There was a bit of FOMO going on when they announced the cast [for season 32], but I left on my own terms. This has been a part of my life forever and for me to not really talk about it, as far as all the memories that have been created since I was 21 years old until I’m now 39 years old, it’s crazy,” he began.

The podcast, which launched recently, will provide listeners with insight into the fights, arguments and other dramatic moments that took place throughout his season on the ballroom floor. As the podcast explored the show’s past, Burke made sure that he made it clear that his intention was not to “upset” anyone connected to the world of “DWTS.” In his words:

“This is my third podcast. I was lucky enough to do it with iHeartMedia and it was an interesting conversation when we first talked about doing a podcast like this, because there’s a fine line, I obviously don’t want to upset anyone on the show, but this has nothing to do with any kind of negative. If anything, it’s a tribute to that show for the half of my life that I’ve been a part of.”

The 39-year-old expressed the importance of celebrating the show’s longevity, acknowledging the role fans have played in the long-running ABC show’s success. As far as he is concerned, it is necessary to respect and appreciate the fans for their continuous support over the years.

Another group of people Burke believes need his appreciation are his dance partners. As reported by The Blast, the podcaster showed his gratitude with an Instagram reel set to the Goo Goo Dolls’ 1998 song, “Iris.”

It features all 24 of his celebrity dance partners such as Rob Kardashian, Ian Ziering, Jack Osborne, Terrell Owens, Drew Lachey — who won his second season with him and Emmitt Smith, who shared his third season win. In the accompanying caption, he wrote in part:

“To all my dance friends who have each played an important role in my life, THANK YOU. Thank you for the life lessons, for trusting me with your vulnerability, and for ALWAYS giving every dance you all.”
