Chicago life coach walks on Lake Michigan ‘ice pancakes’ in swim trunks

He would freeze his flapjacks.

A Chicago lifeguard braved single-digit temperatures to walk across an “ice pancake” that formed on Lake Michigan this week, a chilling Instagram video showed.

George Donald Miller was wearing only swimming trunks, gloves and socks as he nimbly navigated the flat sheet of ice along the North Avenue beach in the Windy City Wednesday morning.

He finally dropped to his knees and completely submerged himself in the frozen lake.

Temperatures in Chicago plunged to a low of 4 degrees Fahrenheit for the day, according to Accuweather.

“This is a deep meditation and healing practice for me,” Miller told digital creator Craig Shimala, who also shared the footage.

“Doing this, helped me a lot. You can ask my wife, you can ask my co-workers, you can ask my family, about the difference cold water exposure has had on me,” he added, noting that “I know that there are risks involved, but the risks are real very minimal. compared to the many outrageous things I have done in my life.”

Miller’s Instagram is full of other photos and videos showing him enjoying the cool water around other areas of Chicago, including Montrose Harbor.

The life coach — who runs the EQ Coaching business — did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
