On Sunday, Rihanna appeared on an episode of the NFL’s “The Process with Nate Burleson” podcast. During the interview, the “Diamonds” singer said that she studied Beyoncé’s halftime show to help her prepare for the showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.

“I watched Beyoncé’s halftime performance a few times,” Rihanna told host Nate Burleson. “He’s a beast and another level. Just for inspiration, really.” Beyoncé headlined the Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show as a solo act in 2013; however, the former member of Destiny’s Child made a special appearance during his set.

In 2016, the “Single Woman” singer took to the stage once again when she joined Coldplay and special guest Bruno Mars to perform on the iconic stage for the second time.

During a press conference on Thursday (via PEOPLE), Rihanna revealed that one of her biggest challenges preparing for her show was figuring out which songs to include. “That was the hardest and hardest part: deciding how to maximize thirteen minutes but also celebrate it. That’s what this show is. It’s going to be a celebration of my catalog in the best way we can put it together,” Rihanna said.

The “Lift Me Up” singer also admitted that she was so busy preparing for the event that she forgot Valentine’s Day was coming up on February 14. It also seems that he has not made any plans for his birthday, which takes place less than a week later on February 20. On Monday, the Barbados-born singer would have turned 35. However, it seems Rihanna is taking it easy.

She recently welcomed her 8-month-old son with rapper A$AP Rocky last May and released her first song in nearly seven years in October. “When you become a mother, something happens where you feel like you can take on the world. You can do anything, and the Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world,” he said.

“So, even though it’s scary… there’s something exciting about the challenge of it all, and it’s important for me to do this, this year,” he added. “It is important for representation. It’s important for my son to see that.”
