Christina Hall has revealed her most powerful — and painful — makeover yet.
Although the TV personality has displayed certain traits that show her to be kind, her fans didn’t understand how deep her kindness was until she recently shared a heartwarming story with them. As it turns out, Hall had stepped in to help her best friend’s sister-in-law Cassie Schienle with home renovations after she was diagnosed with ALS last year.

Also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal condition that affects the nervous system, weakens muscles and affects physical function. This was the experience of Schienle’s sister-in-law, Jessica Waldron, when she became less mobile and dependent on a wheelchair.
With this development, the Stanford-trained clinical psychologist lost access to the kitchen and master bathroom in his family home. Schienle eventually contacted Hall, asking a real estate expert to create a space to make daily movements inside her in-laws’ home more wheelchair accessible.

Unfortunately, Jessica passed away before the renovations were completed. The episode featuring the late mother of two aired on Thursday’s episode of “Christina in the Country,” leaving Hall heartbroken.
Taking to Instagram, the reality TV star shared a photo of Jessica smiling as she listened to Hall’s husband Josh talk. While the image depicts happy times, the caption below tells another story. Hall wrote:
“I first met Jessica Waldron in March 2020 at James and Cassie’s engagement party. She is the type of woman that when she walks into a room, you notice. He has an aura about him. I really got to know him better at James and Cassie’s wedding the following March.”
Shortly after the wedding, Jessica developed “Drop Foot” – difficulty lifting the front of her foot, which eventually turned into ALS. “Jessica wanted her home remodeled because she needed it to work for her because of her limited mobility, but she also wanted it to be beautiful and something her whole family could enjoy,” Hall explains.
Despite the difficulties associated with the disease, Jessica remains hopeful that “there will be a cure and she will walk again.” “Sadly, on November 3, 2022 at the age of 39, Jessica passed away from complications of ALS and never saw the renovation of her home,” added the mother of three before stating:
“This makeover was his vision for his family and something the entire crew and I are proud to have done for them.”
Hall is confident that “her friend’s memory will live on, and her children will be able to look back and see that mom was a fighter.” The heartfelt statement struck a chord with the “Flip or Flop” star’s fans, with one praising her for doing “such a beautiful job” and paying tribute to Jessica “every step of the way.”
Another praised Hall for doing “an amazing job in a difficult situation” with “hope this episode raises awareness and keeps his memory alive.” While many others took to the comments to share their experiences with ALS, those directly affected by Jessica’s passing also poured their thoughts.

Schienle wrote that while “no one will ever know how much you’ve done for others,” Hall needs to “know how much they mean” in his life. Jessica’s husband, Damon, expressed his love and appreciation for the “Christina on the Coast” star and her crew, and her husband said a prayer for Jessica’s family.
Another time Hall evoked such emotion was last month when “Christina in the Country” premiered on HGTV. The Blast noted that she posted a photo featuring herself, her husband, her sister, and her husband on Instagram. The post has gotten almost 50k likes and over 1k comments.

Shortly after the show aired, The Blast expressed Hall’s discomfort with her eldest child, Taylor, following in her fictional footsteps, especially at such a young age. Addressing the issue during the interview, he revealed:
“Taylor is a natural. He’s actually really good at design and he’s really good on camera. It kind of freaks me out, but I don’t want him to do that for a while.”
The doting mother has already taken steps to ensure her children enjoy their childhood, limiting their time on her reality show. To that end, he allows them to film once a month, for a maximum of an hour, making sure they don’t become the main characters.
“I want them to go to college and then, later on, if that’s something they want to do and pursue, more power to them. But most of all, I just want them to have a normal childhood,” Hall reiterated.
