“’PEELED’ is the first all-vegan cast, crew vegan competition cooking show. So, this is something we have never seen before. While we’ve seen plenty of vegans cooking, what we haven’t seen is from the creators to the cast to the crew. Everyone, even to our craft service is completely vegan,” Islam exclusively told Explosion. “What we’re trying to show the community is that it’s accessible, it’s easy, it’s cheap, it’s affordable and you know what, you can do it in the comfort of your own home.”
Tucker adds another unique quality about “PEELED.”

“We have attracted a group of brands that are easily accessible to anyone watching at home. Simmons admits he’s had the idea for an all-vegan cooking competition show for a long time, but it wasn’t until the last quarter of last year that everything started to fall into place.
“I thought, ‘Why can’t we have space? Why can’t we show the food that’s out there without causing harm to the animals,'” Simmons said. “It’s my passion.”
Explosion asked Islam, Simmons and Tucker were asked what they thought of Ramsey’s now-viral video of him choosing a lamb to cook.

“I’m disappointed, because my understanding is that her daughter is vegan or exploring veganism, and she seems open to that, so for her to take that step back and do that and make fun of animal life like that is really disappointing to me. ,” explained Simmons.
Tucker says it’s important to know when people enter the vegan world for profit versus compassion.
“I think in terms of this individual, he probably entered the space for profit and not from a compassionate standpoint,” Tucker said. “This little example with the goat just shows his character.”
The show will be simulcast online at peeledshow.com and launch 24 hours after the premiere on Unchained TV, which is available on Amazon Fire, Roku and Apple TV.
