The television personality was urged to shut down a critic’s attempt to stir up trouble in his family following the premiere of the latest season of “Selling Sunset.” Turns out, her daughter – Taylor El Moussa – gave a speech at her stepmother Heather Rae El Moussa’s baby shower that saw her call the model “the best mom” she could ask for.

Trouble began after the mother-of-three uploaded an image featuring her and her three children – Taylor and Brayden El Moussa and Hudson London Anstead – posing in front of a mirror. The family of four were all smiles as Hall hugged his middle son, Brayden, while Taylor and Hudson stood by.
“Mom life = Playing their driver for all weekend activities… Tay “Mom, please don’t wear leggings; wear jeans” okay, Tay. Love this cute crew,” the doting mom wrote under the shot.

Within hours, the sweet family update had garnered thousands of likes and hundreds of comments from fans, who were giddy over how much Taylor resembled her mother. Others also joked about the warning the 12-year-old gave her 39-year-old mother before they stepped out, with one saying: “Yeah, they’re getting to a certain age, and everything you do is embarrassing them.”
However, one was more concerned about Heather before the teenager was crowned “best mom” during the baby shower the 35-year-old and her husband, Tarek El Moussa, held ahead of the arrival of their first child together.
The moment, which aired as part of the sixth season’s tenth episode “Selling Sunset,” saw Hall’s baby girl give a speech after Heather gave a brief speech of appreciation to her guest. In Taylor’s words:
“I’ve known you for four years now, and I just want to say that you are the best mom, and I couldn’t ask for anyone else. I am so excited for the baby. My father is lucky.”
To that, the critic asked, “How does it make you feel when he says something about Heather being the best mom he could ask for? I’m hurt, and I’m not even his mom ? I think it makes me happy knowing Heather is good to him and he feels that way , but… ah.??.”
Hall was quick to respond, typing, “God, what a strange thing to say. My kids are obsessed with me, and I know it. I didn’t need Taylor to announce how amazing I was to the world for me to feel confident in my motherhood. Jealousy and envy are not in my DNA … I’m glad they love their stepmother too.”

The “Flip or Flop” alum’s sentiment is spot-on, as Heather often brags about her stepson’s place in her life. The Blast observed last November that the mother of one spoke about them being responsible for her excitement to become a mother.
She did so under a caption of five pictures of her and Taylor walking to her baby shower and sharing a hug, writing, “Having Tay and Bray in my life. They melt my heart and make me want to be a mother.”
