Reality TV star Christine Brown recently opened up about her strong relationship with fellow “sister wives.” Christine is part of a polygamous family with a show on TLC called “Sister Wives.”
Kody Brown married Christine in 1994, making her the third of his four wives. Although he is currently only legally married to Robyn Brown, the 53-year-old explained that he feels spiritually married to another. Christine had six children while married to Kody.
She first announced her decision to leave the wedding late last year, and the final 16 revealed more reasons behind the decision. According to him, Janelle Brown was the only person who stayed with him and supported him when he revealed his decision to leave.

Christine announced her decision to leave her polygamous marriage of 26 years to her husband, Kody, in November 2021. The reality star recently spoke about her relationships with her sister’s wives, Meri, Robyn and Janelle, since she left the marriage.
According to him, he is still close with Janelle, who supported his decision “from the beginning.” Christine also described her relationship with Kody after the breakup, describing it as strained. The TLC star told People’s Magazine“I needed more communication, more trust, and I realized we didn’t really have a partnership.”

The 50-year-old shared he decided to leave the marriage because the relationship seemed irreparable. When he breaks his decision to leave the marriage to his wives, Janelle is the only one who reacts emotionally to the news. Christine recalled, “When I told Meri, Robyn, and Janelle, Janelle actually cried. That was really hard. Not only did I decide to leave Kody, I left them.”

The reality star also revealed that she was never really close with Robyn and Meri, and after telling them of her decision, they only spoke once again until now. “I’m not that close to Robyn,” Christine said. “I haven’t been that close to Meri, for years.”
The 50-year-old continued, “As soon as I told everyone, [Janelle] was the only person who spoke to me after that. I didn’t talk to Robyn or Meri after that. The next time I spoke to them was Isabelle’s graduation, and then when I told them I was moving, that was the only contact I had with them.”
Christine celebrated her 50th birthday recently and had Janelle in attendance. She described him as “awesome” and revealed that the two remained friends throughout the period.

Since moving on from her plural marriage, Christine started a digital series called “Cooking with Just Christine.” The series premiered on TLC in February and the next season will begin airing in November. He currently lives in Salt Lake, Utah.

Christine first made the decision to leave Kody known in a post made on Instagram in November last year. In the statement, the 50-year-old wrote, “After over 25 years together, Kody and I have separated, and I have made the difficult decision to walk away.”
The “Cooking with Just Christine” host continued, “We will continue to be strong presences in each other’s lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family. In this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate through these stages in our family.”
The “Sister Wives” season 17 trailer sees Christine talking about her failed marriage to Kody and how “heartbreaking” it is to be his wife. He also revealed that he often thought he cared more about Robyn than himself. The season will reportedly premiere in September 2022.

The season 16 finale was released in February 2022 and showed Christine when she was still thinking about leaving the marriage. One of the main issues arose when Kody asked the 50-year-old for a “no romance” wedding. Christine did not take the request well and responded by revoking the reality star’s rights to her bedroom.
At the end of the season, she said, “The intimate part of our marriage is over. And to be honest, I’m not okay with that. I’m not okay with staying in a marriage where there’s no intimacy. That’s not a real marriage. I’m not interested in a semi-marriage or partial marriage or whatever we have.”
When Christine finally shares her decision to leave the marriage, the other wives seem disturbed by her decision and protest. Koby, for his part, criticized her for not trying to build relationships with other women and claimed her decision was a “knife in the kidney.”
Koby closed the season 17 trailer by saying that the show has taken a different turn than he expected. He said, “The message we had to the world about polygamy working seems very dysfunctional right now.”
