Colleen Ballinger has posted a response to social media allegations that the YouTube star has acted inappropriately with her young fans.

Ballinger, 36, has been accused of injuring a contestant on the “Miranda Sings” live show after a concert act went wrong, and sharing personal information with young fans via direct message.
He has been very quiet since the former situation hit the headlines earlier this month. Ballinger does not post any videos on his two YouTube channels, and he is also inactive on Instagram.
The vlogger and entertainer posted a YouTube video simply titled “hi” where he revealed his side of the story by singing an original song.
In Ballinger’s New Apology Video
In the 10-minute video, Ballinger addresses the controversy in a song. The “Miranda Sings” star revealed she was strongly advised by her team not to speak out, but she revealed she realized singing her story would be different.
A visibly nervous Ballinger opens the video by singing “Hey, you haven’t seen my face in a while. I’m not that great, so I rested a bit. So, a lot of people say some things about me that aren’t really true, regardless of whether they’re true. As long as it’s entertaining too, right? Are you having fun?”

He then begins the song, possibly titled “Toxic Gossip Car.”
The lyrics read, “All on the poisonous gossip train/rolling on the tracks of misinformation/poisonous gossip train/you got a one-way ticket to the manipulation station/toxic gossip train/tie me to the tracks, and haunt me for my past/Rumors this seems like a fact if you don’t mind the gap/I wouldn’t survive the crash, but hey/at least you had fun.”

At the 1:12 mark, Ballinger begins to explain his perspective.
“Hey everyone. I want to come online and talk to you about a few things,” he said as he continued to strum his ukelele. “Um, even though my team has advised me not to say what I want to say. I recently realized they never said I couldn’t sing,” Ballinger continued. “I’m here, and today I just want to talk about the facts. So, I hope you will listen.”
“Years ago, I used to send messages to my fans,” he continued. “Uh, but not in a creepy way, like you’re trying to suggest. It’s more of a loser way. I’m just trying to be ‘besties’ with everybody. It’s kind of like when you go to a family gathering, you know, and there’s one that weird aunt who keeps coming up to you and saying ‘Hey girl, what tea?’ and you’re like, ehhh. That’s me,” Ballinger explained. “But in a group chat with my fans. It’s weird. I’ve been sharing my life online for over 15 years, I’ve poured my heart out to you and because of that, I feel like I talk to my friends, but at the beginning of my career, I didn’t really understand that maybe there should be some boundaries,” he continued to sing.
“There was a time in DM where I would share details of my life that were very strange to me. I haven’t done that in years, you see because I changed my behavior and I took responsibility. But that’s not very interesting, is it?” he asked, glaring at the camera, before launching into another chorus.
“Seriously, I think it’s very important to hold people accountable for mistakes. We should hope that everyone can learn from their mistakes and grow, and change their behavior and become better people. And this is something I always try to do when I make mistakes, and something I will continue to do- what? you do not mind? Oh, okay,” Ballinger continued.
“I thought you wanted me to be responsible, but that’s not what your mob mentality is all about, is it?” he sings “Your goal is to ruin the lives of people you despise while you dramatize your lies and monetize their deaths. I think I can already hear the comments on this video,” he added. “He’s lighting fires, manipulating, oh he’s a narcissist and a rat, I would never make a mistake like that…”
“I also want to take a moment to talk about that girl, ‘Miranda Sings.’ You know the one,” Ballinger went on to say. “He’s PG-13. It says that on my website and it always has, and that’s why you won’t find my videos on the YouTube Kids app. I didn’t realize it was my responsibility to decide what was appropriate for each child to see,” he sings. “I always rely on parents to decide if they are comfortable with their family watching my YouTube videos or coming to my live shows…”
