House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has issued subpoenas for Hunter and James Biden’s personal bank and business records as part of the impeachment inquiry into President Biden.
“From day one of our investigation into Joe Biden’s abuse of public office, we’ve been following the money and that continues with today’s subpoenas for Hunter and James Biden’s bank records,” Comer (R-Ky.) said in a statement.
“Bank records don’t lie, and coupled with witness testimony, they reveal that Joe Biden abused his public office for his family’s financial gain.”
A subpoena for the bank records of Hunter Biden’s longtime business partner Eric Schwerin has also been issued.
Business entities linked to the president’s 53-year-old son named in the subpoena are named as Owasco, PC, Owasco, LLC and Skaneateles. Those associated with his 74-year-old brother are Lion Hall Group, LLC, and JBBSR, Inc.
Comer has demanded that the record be submitted to his committee by Oct. 12.

Comer argued Thursday that bank records obtained by his committee before the launch of the official impeachment inquiry on Sept. 12 already “reveal a pattern in which Biden sold access to Joe Biden around the world to enrich the Biden family.”
“As the Biden family seals deals around the world, Joe Biden shows up, meets, talks to, shakes hands with, and holds meetings with foreigners who send money to his family,” the Kentucky Republican said. “This culture of corruption needs further investigation.”
