Contents of Biden’s pseudonym emails tops Comer’s list of material impeachment inquiry needs to obtain

The contents of emails President Biden sent using a pseudonym account are the top items House Oversight Committee James Comer (R-Ky.) said investigators handling the impeachment inquiry against the president should obtain.

Biden, 81, used multiple email aliases — including “robinware456,” “JRBware” and “RobertLPeters” — between 2010 and 2019 to communicate with his son Hunter Biden and Eric Schwerin, the first son’s former business partner, according to House Ways and Means Committee.

The White House, however, released only 14 of the roughly 82,000 pages worth of Biden’s secret vice presidential emails, according to the Kentucky Republican, who said getting to know the rest is his top priority when Congress returns from recess in the new year. .

“I think one of the most important pieces of documentation that we need is the pseudonym email,” Comer said during an appearance on Fox News. “Remember, no one knew about pseudonym emails until a few months ago when we discovered Joe Biden was using at least three fake names on government emails.”

Comer, who heads one of three House panels tasked with handling the impeachment inquiry against the president, first asked the National Archives in August to hand over its unredacted records of Biden’s use of pseudonyms during his vice presidency.

Since then, he has accused the White House of “stonewalling” attempts by lawmakers to access Biden-related records at the center of the impeachment inquiry.

Comer said the emails obtained by his committee did not “even amount to half of 1%” of what investigators were looking for.

“These are junk e-mails,” he said of what the White House has authorized to be released by the National Archives.

“But what we learned from the allegations [against Hunter Biden] in California, [is] some e-mails that Joe Biden used a pseudonym for were used as evidence against Hunter Biden in his failure to pay taxes … that’s important evidence there,” Comer claimed.

Earlier this month, the House Ways and Means Committee revealed that Joe Biden released, or knew about, at least 327 emails with Schwerin, the founding partner and managing director of the defunct Rosemont firm Seneca Hunter Partners.

One of the emails from Eric Schwerin, Hunter Biden’s business partner, is shown from 2014.

Of those emails, 54 were exclusively between Joe Biden and Schwerin, who the committee alleges was the architect of the Biden family’s “multiple shell companies that launder money around the world.”

Comer also stated that depositions from Hunter Biden and “all his business associates” will be sought once Congress reconvenes, as well as information related to the Joe Biden classified documents scandal.

“We also have questions for the National Archives – which countries were involved in the documents that Joe Biden mishandled? That’s something that I think is very important in our investigation because we’ve identified some emails that Hunter sent to people in Ukraine, for example, that we believe may be, may be classified documents that Joe Biden mishandled that may be there. the garage of Joe Biden’s house where his son lives,” Comer said.

Hunter Biden defied a congressional subpoena requiring him to appear for a transcribed interview with the House Oversight Committee earlier this month, choosing instead to hold a press conference outside the Capitol and demand a public hearing.

Comer said he hoped the eldest son would be arrested for contempt of Congress for the stunt “as soon as we get back.”
