Pick up after your dog!
A dog let loose from its crate by its owner left a foul mess on a United Airlines flight that forced unlucky passengers to suffer on the plane, WGN-TV reported.
Travelers departing from Portland en route to Denver claimed a woman’s chatty chihuahua was behind the chaos when she let the toddler out of their crate at one point during Monday’s flight.
A man, who identified himself only as Nick, said the passenger was hit with a disgusting “smell of poo” that forced a pregnant woman sitting directly behind the frenzy to press the button to call a flight attendant for help.
Looking around to see where the unbearable smell was coming from, Nick said he and the pregnant woman, who was sitting in the back of the plane, immediately saw the foul-mouthed dog coming out of the crate.
“I turned on my phone light, and that’s when I realized the dog was out. And we are debating is he [the owner] or is it the dog,” said Nick.

Passenger Nick also said he heard the dog’s owner might be imagining the disaster.
‘He mentioned earlier, when I first sat down, that he didn’t take it to the bathroom while at the airport. I think they have an evacuation center so it’s probably caged the whole time,” Nick told WGN.
When the flight attendants approached the pregnant woman — they found dog poop on the edge of the aisle seat.

To make matters worse, another passenger claimed the woman refused to move with her smelly chihuahua or take responsibility for cleaning up the mess.
“The lady was reluctant to move or deal with it, and the flight attendant was slow to come,” another passenger named Burton Bix told WGN.
“They cleaned it up eventually. They put on hazmat-type suits, and they cleaned the seats around him.”

Nearby passengers in the same aisle also said they were unable to move or change seats because the plane was in full flight.
As with most airline rules regarding small in-flight pets, United made it clear to passengers that any pet brought on board must be a service animal that can fit under the seat in their cabin.
“Traveling with pets in the cabin is only allowed for cats and dogs when there is space available. This carrier must fit under the seat in front of you or you cannot fly with your pet. There is only one pet per carrier, and they must be able to stand and turn around while inside,” their website states.
Bix said the dog’s owner mentioned that she didn’t take her dog out to use the bathroom before boarding the flight, claiming to have heard her say before the plane took off, “I’ll take her out, too.”

A UA spokesperson told the outlet that they offer vouchers in the form of electronic credits to passengers on flights.
“Our in-flight crew thoroughly cleaned the area immediately after the customer brought it to our attention. We are providing sanitary napkins and offering travel vouchers to those in the surrounding area,” UA announced.
Unfortunately, similar incidents have occurred in recent years — when another passenger woke up on their flight in 2018.
A Michigan passenger was furious after stepping on dog poop on a Delta Atlanta-to-Miami flight — but when he asked a flight attendant for help cleaning it up, things got worse.
The passenger said the flight attendants’ reaction was as shocking as the disgusting discovery that reached his shoes, claiming they only gave him paper towels and a small bottle of gin to clean them up.
“I’M NOT HAPPY DELTA! SICK,” he wrote on Facebook. “Is this legal? This is a HEALTH CODE VIOLATION!”
