Singer Billie Eilish was the subject of a prank call that led to police swarming her Los Angeles home to conduct a welfare check.
Last month, the same thing happened to Britney Spears, 41, after she deactivated her Instagram account. The “Hold Me Closer” singer returned to Instagram a week later, but not before asking fans to respect her privacy.
Although the 21-year-old singer’s Instagram account is still active, she has released her profile picture, which may have sparked concern among some fans.

Law enforcement officers reportedly raided Billie Eilish’s Los Angeles home after they received a false tip from a comedian that the “Ocean Eyes” singer was in trouble, according to TMZ.
On Wednesday afternoon, several squad cars and officers from the Glendale Police Department arrived at his home after they received a call to perform a welfare check on the singer. When the police arrived, they reportedly met with a member of the singer’s group who assured them that everything was fine.
While luckily for Billie this time around, the Los Angeles native has had trouble in the area before. Just last month, the “Happier Than Ever” singer took out a restraining order against an alleged stalker who broke into her family’s home.

Just last month, a man named Christopher Anderson allegedly broke into his family’s home to express his love for the singer. In court documents obtained by The Blast, the “when the party’s over” singer asked for protection not only for herself but for her brother Finneas and her parents as well.
“My father and members of the Los Angeles Police Department recently informed me that an individual named Christopher A. Anderson or Chris Anderson recently entered the interior of my family home on January 5, 2023, unannounced and uninvited, after apparently professed his love for me and stated that he really wanted to meet me,” Billie wrote in the court filing. “I have seen the image of this individual and can confirm I do not know who he is and that I have had no prior contact or communication with him.”

Billie claims that she has suffered emotional injuries from the incident, as well as “Emotional injuries including for my safety, fear for the safety of my family, continued loss of peace, quiet, and security in my childhood home and personal space as a result of repeated harassment by Mr. Anderson.”
Despite 24-hour surveillance around the property, the “Everything I Wanted” singer claims she “doesn’t feel safe” returning to her childhood home because of the incident. “Unfortunately, this is not the first time an unknown individual has tried to contact my family and me specifically by stalking us outside my family home and by making professions of love and threats of violence against me,” he wrote. “However, each of those events, including the current one, has caused me great anxiety, fear, and emotional distress for the safety of myself and my father, mother, and brother.”

“I fear that one day one of these individuals will do something violent or very disturbing to me or one of my family members,” he continued. “Despite the 24-hour security and safety surveillance team employed by my family, I do not feel safe returning to my childhood home, visiting with my parents at their home, or being anywhere near this individual named Christopher Anderson .”
This wasn’t the only time Billie allegedly heard from Anderson. She claims that he tried to contact her several times between December 22, 2022 and January 5, 2023. Billie’s father claims that on December 29, 2022, around 7:35 a.m., “Mr. Anderson approached our gate and left what appeared to be a gift for one of our family members in the form of white flowers and a handwritten note. About an hour later police officers arrived at our family home. I was informed that the police department subsequently filed another report documenting the latest incident.”

“Among other things, the note left by Mr. Anderson expressed his love for my daughter Billie, claiming that at one point Billie had watched Mr. Anderson and wrote a song about Mr. Anderson, and that Mr. Anderson really wanted to see Billie,” he added.
Billie’s father said that he saw Anderson around the property several times. In legal documents, she claims that the last incident was on January 5, 2023, when she said “Mr. Anderson was arrested after breaking and entering our home on suspicion of burglary.”

Billie Eilish asked the court to prevent Anderson from having any contact with her and her family members. This includes social media.
