Despite being born into the fame and fortune of legendary rapper Snoop Dogg, Cori has fallen on hard times. From being diagnosed with lupus at a young age to dealing with steroid-induced weight gain, the singer has had her fair share of appointments and hospital visits. Unfortunately, Cori’s health problems show no signs of losing their grip on her, as she recently revealed.

For as long as fans can remember, Cori has remained honest about her issues at the risk of being judged by outsiders. Dogg’s youngest and only daughter showed her vulnerable side again when she told her nearly 700k followers about her upcoming biopsy.
According to the Mayo Clinic, a biopsy procedure involves removing a sample of cells or tissue from a person’s body to allow testing in a laboratory. In other words, medical professionals use biopsies to test whether an abnormality in a person’s body is caused by cancer or another condition.
Taking to her Instagram story on Tuesday, Cori posted a photo she took while watching a cartoon on television, with the words, “I got a kidney biopsy today I’m so scared ??? the last time I got one I was like 7 years old. /8,” on the other side.
In a second update, the 23-year-old is seen wearing a nose mask in a black-and-white photo featuring her longtime boyfriend and fiancé, Wayne Deuce. Cori looked tired as she leaned on Deuce’s shoulder, probably waiting for an attendant to come to her.
The nose mask returns in the third Story showing him lying on a bed and throwing up a sign of peace. The “Trouble” voice actress also donned a hospital gown and head covering as she told her fans she’ll keep them updated.

Fans soon learned that the “Sittin’ In My Room” singer’s biopsy couldn’t be done because her blood pressure and heart rate were “too high they didn’t want to risk anything, so had to reschedule and see a cardiologist.”
Once he gets the cardiologist’s clearance, he will reschedule the biopsy and be “put to sleep” by an anesthesiologist during the procedure. The singer explained in a video that doctors thought her condition was triggered by dehydration and nervousness, so they released her.
Aside from giving insight into her different conditions, Cori has shared some of her mental health struggles on social media. In 2021, the 21-year-old revealed in an Instagram update that his mental health “hasn’t been great” in the “last few weeks.”
Things got so bad for the “Reincarnated” star that he tried to end his life “at some point.” Fortunately, surrounded by the love of his family and Deuce “really give [sic] i have a purpose in life & helped me realize life is more than materialistic things.
She shared more insight in an Instagram video telling her followers about the “frustrating” situation she was in. “Just because my dad is who he is doesn’t mean I’m not sad; it doesn’t mean I don’t want something or I don’t feel anything. I don’t know how to explain it,” Cori said.
Reflecting on her childhood, which included being diagnosed with lupus, the “Daddy’s Girl” hitmaker said, “I was always sad. I was always depressed. I felt like I had been through a lot.” Cori also recalls being bullied before emotionally detailing her suicide attempt and conclusively stating:
“When things get tough, just pray. Taking your life is not worth it. Nevermind. Let’s get our mental [health] right Let’s do what we need to do together.”

Amidst her various health issues, Cori has previously chosen to focus on the good things in her life, including her recent engagement to Deuce. The Blast noted that the “Do My Thang” singer posted a ten-second clip of herself in a white blouse that she paired with a yellow floral headpiece and necklace on social media.
Cori seemed to be in the zone as the sun shone on her clear skin, and she swayed to the tune playing from the car stereo. At one point, she raised her left hand to show off a large diamond ring on her engagement finger.
The bride-to-be reminded viewers that she is “Soon to be Mrs. POLK” in the caption. This isn’t the first time Cori has emphasized her new status as she uploaded multiple photos of her and Deuce looking happy and in love with her Story after the engagement.
One of the MTV Video Music Award nominee’s latest posts includes four photos of him and Deuce striking a unique pose with the caption, “Mr. and Madam will come soon??.”
