In a heartfelt Instagram post on Wednesday, singer Orville Peck, born Daniel Pitout, shared a personal update with his loyal following of some 602,000 fans. He announced the difficult decision to postpone all remaining shows on his tour to prioritize his mental and physical well-being.
Expressing her grief, Peck wrote, “I am truly heartbroken as I share this news, but I have made the very difficult decision to postpone all of my upcoming plans effective immediately. This is one of the hardest decisions ever I do, but I realize that my current mental and physical health will not allow me to give you my best.”
The 35-year-old singer continued, “My fans mean a lot to me and I’m very grateful to everyone who has bought a ticket to come and see us play, I don’t take it for granted. Being on stage is my favorite thing in the world.”
Peck emphasized the need to take time off to recover his mind and body, adding, “But I need to take this time to recharge my mind and body so I can come back stronger and healthier than ever, to do what I love for so many people. next year. I hope you can understand.”
