Country Star Jon Pardi Recalls Reaching ‘Breaking Point’ With Alcohol Intake

Country music star Jon Pardi has made huge strides in his sobriety journey and is eager to share all about it!

The “Head Over Boots” singer recently reflected on how much her life has changed since she stopped drinking alcohol. He looks back at what started his transition, revealing how he was once “unhappy” and why booze may never be part of his future.

Jon Pardi Says Drinking Alcohol Affects His Physical Appearance Negatively

The entertainer looks better than ever at the age of 38, thanks to all the weight she’s lost since ditching alcohol from her diet. “I’ve lost a lot of weight,” he said before recalling the reasons behind his physical transformation.

“I was pre-diabetic, and I was like, ‘I have to stop,'” explained Pardi, noting that she reached a breaking point when she realized she was “not happy” with how she looked in “every picture, every video.”

Soon, the singer understood that he “just needed a break” from alcohol, and unpleasant weight gain followed. He talked about his new look on the “Country Heat Weekly” podcast and referenced Tito’s, the famous Texas-based Vodka brand, saying:

“I just did a shoot, and I was like, ‘Damn, I look good.’ Take that, Tito! But for anyone who is thinking about it, if they want to lose weight and you drink, let me tell you — it really helps if you stop.”

In addition to helping her lose weight, the lack of alcohol also affected Pardi’s self-care regimen. When asked to share what else she does to look good, she revealed that using a steam room is “always good;” however, she plans to embark on her skincare journey.

The Country music star says he follows his famous face wash/lotion routine in the morning, but he wants to start a nighttime regimen like his wife, Summer Pardi. In addition to the couple’s shared love of skincare, they also share a daughter, whom they welcomed after years of struggling with fertility.

Jon & Summer Pardi ‘Excited’ To Be First Time Parents

Last September, Jon and Summer gushed about their excitement to welcome their daughter in a heartfelt interview. The couple started dating in 2016 and tied the knot in 2020 but didn’t hit the big time until 2022.

Their joy came after many futile visits to the hospital which caused the couple anxiety. “It was definitely an interesting two years of ups and downs – the constant disappointment month after month can really be hard on a couple,” Summer recalls.

After they repeatedly failed to conceive a child, the “Heartache Medicine” singer’s wife stated that the couple stopped trying and put aside their concerns. Turns out all they had to do was let fate play out, in Summer’s words:

“We decided to take a break, leave it to God, and just enjoy each other and the crazy, fun life we were living together … and then, surprise, we got pregnant!”

The pregnant socialite blamed the couple’s past failures on stress, saying: “I think stress played a big part in it. You hear so many stories like ours about ‘when you stop trying, it happens,’ but when you’re in that situation, it’s really hard not to try or not think about it.”

“It’s just one of those crazy things in life that doesn’t make sense, and there’s no right or wrong answer,” he continued. Meanwhile, her husband can’t wait to be a dad, telling a source:

“I’m ready to start a new adventure with my wife Summer and our new little one — Pardi three! I’m so excited to meet our baby and have someone to walk around the farm with.”

Summer shares the same enthusiasm, noting their baby will significantly influence Jon’s playful side. “He is a big kid at heart, always alive in the party, and has such positive energy, so I can only imagine how much fun this little addition to Pardi will be for him and our family,” he said.
