A six-year-old girl comes home from school with a “disgusting” Father’s Day present, leaving her father stunned and furious.
Students at Connolly Primary School in Perth’s north came home with printed activity dice that offered ways it claimed to cheer up dads when they were in a bad mood.
One option is ammunition – with instructions to take “when all else fails.”
Trent Howard said he was “disgusted” that his six-year-old daughter was given material that appeared to promote suicide from a teacher at Connolly Primary School.

“To create this, and distribute this, is disgusting,” he said on 9 News.
“If that’s enough, shoot yourself, what else [could that be interpreted to] say.”
“I have a strange sense of humor, [but] that’s not part of anyone’s sense of humor.”
Howard’s wife, Renea, said the teacher told her the gift was meant to be a joke.
“It’s not funny,” he said.
Psychologists also warn that the incident can have far-reaching effects on children and parents.

“Kids can take things literally, it can play on their mind, they may not have the language to express what’s bothering them,” psychologist Bailey Bosch told Channel 9.
Bosch added that adults can also be severely “triggered” by the mention of things like bullets and death.
The shocking incident comes amid a mental health crisis for young Australians.

About 1 in 7 children aged between 4 and 17 have recently experienced a mental health disorder in Australia, according to Health Direct.
The WA Department of Education said the school had apologized to parents after a “serious lack of consideration.”
“While I understand the activities related to confectionery, it was clearly unthinkable and should not have happened,” Melesha Sands, Deputy Director General, Schools for the WA Department of Education told NCA NewsWire in a statement.
“The school has apologized to the parents and will not repeat this activity in the future.
“The principal has also apologized directly to the parents who made the complaint.
“I would also like to apologize to the parents and reiterate that this activity is not suitable for students, which has been discussed with the school.”
