In a new interview with Nylon Magazine, Morrone made no secret of how much time he has to finish his homework. She’s two days from her audition date, and she still hasn’t broken the spine on her copy of “Daisy Jones and the Six.”
“I thought I was going to cram like I did in high school and get major points [from SparkNotes] by chance the casting director said, ‘Did you read the book?’ I can say yes,” he told the outlet.
There will be no shorter path taken; Morrone is totally in love with Daisy and her rock star world of excess!
“Then I accidentally flipped the book,” Morrone added. “I’m not coming to vent until I’ve finished everything.”
Embracing “Daisy Jones and the Six” didn’t take as much effort as Morrone might have thought at first. He continued, “It’s been a long time since I sat down and read a book voluntarily. I have a bad relationship with reading because of being forced at school to read books that you don’t even relate to. It was my first introduction to different types of writing and different writing styles that made me fall in love with recreational reading, as nerdy as it sounds.”
“Daisy Jones and the Six” is not the only novel by Jenkins Reid to receive media treatment! “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo” will be adapted into a Netflix movie, and “One True Loves” will be released to the big screen later this year!
