Daisy Ridley And Husband Tom Bateman Vacation Together In Ireland

Actress Daisy Ridley and her husband Tom Bateman were pictured together enjoying a holiday in Ireland earlier this week.

The “Star Wars” alum met Bateman on the set of 2017’s “Murder on the Orient Express.” However, the two kept their relationship so secret that no one knew they were married until Ridley broke the news in a January 2023 interview with Rolling Stone while promoting his new film “Sometimes I Think About Dying” at the Sundance Film Festival.

Earlier this month, the “Ophelia” actress appeared in London at a Star Wars Celebration 2023 fan event, where she revealed that she will reprise her role as Rey in a new film that takes place fifteen years after “The Rise of Skywalker.”

However, it seems she is now looking to get a well-deserved break with her husband before filming begins, as the two have been seen together in Ireland.

The Castlewood House Dingle took to social media to share a photo of them posing with Daisy Ridley and Tom Bateman. “Beautiful couple!!” they wrote in the caption of the post.

“It’s great to have the very talented acting duo of Daisy Ridley and Tom Bateman staying with us. Daisy is no stranger to the Dingle Peninsula as any Star Wars fan will know having filmed Star Wars – The Last Jedi here in 2017 and starred in all three films in the trilogy,” they explained. “Tom and Daisy also starred in the Kenneth Branagh directed film ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ together in 2017.”

“Great to meet you both and can’t wait for you to visit us again,” they concluded, tagging @daisyridley and @tombatemanfans. One fan asked, “Is Daisy looking for the next Rey movie??” However, it seems unlikely, as the innkeeper replied, “Visited again and they are a very friendly couple.”

Another follower commented, “So cute. Hope they have fun… Daisy’s casual look is so ???????.” The innkeeper replied, “He has that kind of style.”

“Dear Tom and Daisy…looks like they’re having a great time on the Dingle Peninsula,” said another fan. It seems the couple has already left, however, as the inn replied, “We think they like it here and will hopefully come back one day.”

What Do We Know About Rey’s Next Movie?

On April 7, Daisy Ridley appeared on stage at the Star Wars Celebration 2023 event in London to reveal that she will be starring in a new film led by “Ms. Marvel” filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. The film will direct the next “Star Wars” film set fifteen years after the events of 2019’s “The Rise of Skywalker.”

Obaid-Chinoy said his film “will tell the story of rebuilding the new Jedi order” while Ridley told viewers, “I’m very excited to continue this journey.” No other characters for the sequel trilogy have been confirmed to return at this time.

In a follow-up interview with Entertainment Weekly at London’s Star Wars Celebration, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy revealed a few more details about Ridley’s “Star Wars” movie and confirmed that the opening credits crawl will return.

While it has made appearances in most of the “Star Wars” films thus far, it was notably absent from the standalone films “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” and “Solo: A Star Wars Story.” However, Kennedy confirmed that “Crawling is for movies” and will make a return for movies outside of the Skywalker Saga.

As for Ridley’s film, in particular, Kennedy said that Lucasfilm wanted to show the shape of the galaxy fifteen years after the First Order was defeated. “As we move into future space — this story is about 15 years beyond The Rise of Skywalker — obviously we realize after the war, after the First Order the rise of the New Jedi Order, we left episode 9 with Rey making a commitment to Luke Skywalker that he would rebuild the Jedi Order,” Kennedy said.

“So here we are — we’re ready to do it. And it took a lot of discussion because obviously we’ve been developing stories in different spaces, and television has been a big focus of our attention right now,” he continued. “But there’s still a lot of interest in what happens after The Rise of Skywalker. So we’re excited to do that. .”

Kennedy also admitted, “It’s impossible to see some people coming back” but no one else has been confirmed to return at this time.
