A source close to the situation recently claimed that the relationship revealed a side of Gomez that was different from any relationship she had been in before.

According to sources, the former “Wizards of Waverly Place” actress has reached a point in their romance where she feels calm and open enough to openly address it and answer fans’ curiosity.
“She feels very safe and secure with him, so she feels like this is the right time to share how happy she is with her fans. Benny is a great communicator, honest and open with Selena, and listens to her,” the source claimed.
The insider added, “He’s respectful, not a player, and not for attention or fame. He doesn’t care about any of that and Selena sees that and really believes in him.”
The source went on to tell ET Online that Gomez believes she can be her “most authentic self” with the 35-year-old “without questioning his underlying motives.”
“It took a long time for him to let someone in, but Benny had proven himself to him and he appreciated his ideals and morals. He feels like he can give a part of his heart that he hasn’t been able, or willing, to offer in a relationship in a very long time,” they added.
The whistleblower also claimed that Gomez believed she had found a “good guy,” which was a “refreshing” experience for her, possibly referring to her relationship with her ex, Justin Bieber.
“Their feelings for each other are very intertwined and they are eager to develop their relationship and special bond,” the source said.
The revelation from a close source comes after Gomez gave fans a glimpse of her and Blanco’s bond with a photo of her celebrating best friend Taylor Swift’s 34th birthday. The content she shared hinted that she might have attended the party, as she was seen with him in a picture where she wore the same outfit from the festival.

The 31-year-old created a stir by addressing speculation about his relationship status in the comments section. Responding to posts suggesting she and the “Eastside” producer were a couple, she simply wrote “facts”.
The upload in question featured a clip of Gomez confessing her crush on an episode of “Selena + Chef: Home for the Holidays.” It also includes a screenshot of her praising the launch of Blanco’s cookbook on her Instagram Story.
He later confirmed that Blanco was the man in question under his fan page, and later defended him in the comments when he faced criticism for his relationship with the record executive.
The 31-year-old stood his ground, stating, “Then why is he the best thing that ever happened to me. The end,” replied a fan who tried to question his choice.
