Singer Dan Reynolds, lead singer of the rock group Imagine Dragons, has just announced his separation from his wife, Aja Volkman. Artis and Volkman married in 2011 and welcomed their first child a year later.
They had two more children before announcing that they were ending their marriage in 2018. Less than a year after the announcement, Volkman revealed that they are now on the path to reconciling and rebuilding their relationship. The two had another child soon after.

Dan Reynolds And Aja Volkman Have Split Up
On September 16, Reynolds announced via Twitter that he and his wife of 11 years, Volkman, had separated. The 35-year-old revealed that despite the decision, the two will make sure they remain good parents to their four children. The post read, “I am sad to say that after many wonderful years together, Aja and I have parted ways.”

Several posts from concerned fans flooded Reynolds’ comments section, offering their condolences to the former couple. One follower wrote, “This is heartbreaking. I’m so sorry to hear this. Sending love and strength to you and Aja.” Some other fans expressed their sadness that even though the couple tried to make things work, their marriage did not work out.

Reynolds made a similar post in 2018 when the former couple first announced their split. He also further requested that the family’s privacy be respected. She wrote, “After 7 wonderful years together, Aja and I’s marriage is over. Our children continue to be the most important thing in our lives, & we will continue to co-parent them with all our love.”

Reynolds added in a follow-up tweet, “I ask that you respect our privacy at this time while we work through this as a family.” Since tying the knot in 2011, the two have welcomed three children into their home.
Reynolds and Volkman welcomed their fourth child in 2019 after reconciling their marriage. Eight months after the initial split was announced, Volkman revealed that the couple is trying to rebuild their relationship with each other.

Volkman shared a photo of the family in January 2019 and revealed that despite “killing” each other last year, the couple is ready to make their relationship work again. The 42-year-old wrote, “I’m proud of you @danreynolds. I’m proud of your humility and ability to still show up as the Dad-loving basketball coach that you are.”

“I knew it was a crazy road. It killed us both in seconds. Last year we killed each other, and now we’re rebuilding.”
Volkman went on to assure Reynolds that regardless of the behavior displayed “in the eye of a giant storm,” it was temporary and the only way to get better and more mature. “That’s what we’ve been doing. And now. Honesty. That’s all we need. Keep ripping those bandages off, baby. I’m going to do it with you. I’m going to get through it and love every minute of it,” he concluded.

Dan Reynolds Proposed Aja Volkman Twice!
After welcoming their son, Valentine, in October 2019, Reynolds reportedly proposed to Volkman a second time in December of that year. The 42-year-old announced the reapplication via his Instagram account with a photo of himself wearing a diamond engagement ring.
In a lengthy caption, Volkman revealed that before Reynolds, she had never “caused so much hurt or been hurt by another human being in my life.” He added that despite trying to be there for each other while going through life’s trials, their relationship eventually began to fall apart.
She added, “We didn’t need words. We were both forgiven. He knelt down, and before he could open his mouth, I started crying. Heavy tears that held back almost 10 years of growth. The answer is always yes.”
