‘Dancing With the Stars’ Daniella Karagach Tests Positive For COVID

“Dancing With the Stars” will air tonight, Monday, September 26, on Disney+. Everyone is excited to dance to some of the most famous songs in history because the theme of tonight’s episode is Elvis.

Unfortunately for one contestant, they had to dance with a new partner at the last minute as pro Daniella Karagach tested positive for COVID overnight.

“Dancing With the Stars” just announced that pro dancer Daniella Karagach tested positive yesterday for COVID-19. He is completely asymptomatic and is currently in self-quarantine. This means the 29-year-old will not be able to compete live on the reality show tonight and her partner, Joseph Baena, actor and son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, will be dancing with Alexis Warr.

According to the announcement, “Unfortunately, Daniella Karagach tested positive yesterday for Covid. She is completely asymptomatic and is in self-quarantine. Everyone she has been in close contact with has tested negative. Dance troupe member Alexis Warr will come in and dance with Joseph at Daniella’s place tonight Following our strict protocol, those deemed to be close contacts of Daniella will be masked on tonight’s show.”

Baena will dance the Waltz to “If I Can Dream” on tonight’s Elvis-themed episode of “Dancing With the Stars.”

After one night, a handful of contestants stood out as they dominated the leaderboards. TikTok star Charli D’Amelio, “Lt’s Make a Deal” host Wayne Brady, Drag Queen Shangela, actress Selma Blair and “Bachelorette” Gabby Windey were the top five scorers of the night.

Several pro dancers are notably missing, including Lindsay Arnold, who announced she will not be a part of the season to spend more time with her family. Jenna Johnson, who is married to professional dancer Val Chmerkovskiy, is currently pregnant and will not compete with her husband, but hopes to return next season.
