The actor who admitted he was a new Christian told Fox News Digital that he has been working with fellow actor Neal Bledsoe who is the latest actor to slam Bure for his “hateful” comments. “Neal is a great guy,” he insisted.

“He is a great actor and I really enjoyed working with him. He and I both share our love and support for the LGBT community for sure… (but) I disagree with his interpretation of his comments. I just don’t see them the same way.”

Bledsoe has worked with McKellar on two films; Winter Palace and Christmas at the Drive-In. he opened up about how li Bure’s hurtful comments could damage many listeners.

Bledsoe sat down for a lengthy interview with Diversity where he took the opportunity to share some of his struggles and why he was offended by Bure. “My life would not be what it is today without the love, support and guidance of the LGBTQIA+ community… I owe them a lot,” he said.

“And now, if I can’t stand up for that community in their time of need, my debt to them is meaningless. So, I want to make it very clear: my support for the LGBTQIA+ community is unconditional – nothing that matches my silence or their ability to live and love freely in the world we are lucky enough to share with them.”

Bure’s comments have rubbed some people the wrong way and it has blown up more than the actress could have ever imagined.

Bure, the former Hallmark movie queen, apologized as soon as the comment began to gain attention.

“All of you who know me, know without a doubt that I have great love and affection for everyone. It really breaks my heart that anyone would think that I intentionally wanted to offend and hurt anyone,” he said in a statement to Many people magazine.

“I am a devout Christian. This means that I believe that every human being has the image of God,” he admitted. “Because of that, I was called to love everyone, and I did.”

McKellar wrote a vague response to the drama in late November but did not specifically say he was addressing the Hallmark situation.

The former Wonder Years the actress wrote, “I want to set the record straight about something. I am a new Christian, and I am so thankful for that. ? As always, I celebrate all forms of healthy love between adults, and I support representation,” he said.

“I was very excited to play a role in several episodes of Home Economics earlier this year, and my husband and I had the privilege of attending my best friend’s beautiful wedding with her husband earlier this year in Mexico. At the time, we commented that it was one of the purest expressions of love we had ever seen. The idea that Christianity would value any form of love baffles me.”

He ended his post by writing, “I’m still new in my faith journey, but as far as I know, Jesus loves and includes everyone. That is His thing…”
