Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby fell in love on the last season of “Bachelor In Paradise.” Unfortunately, the two have decided to call it quits as Allio just confirmed their split on a recent podcast appearance.
Allio confirmed the news earlier this week on the Trade Secrets podcast. Now, Maltby is accusing her of dumping him just a day after her egg retrieval surgery.

Maltby opened up about her breakup with Michael Allio on “The WoMed” podcast, where she accused her ex of dumping her just a day after her surgery.
“What’s hard to talk about is really not the procedure itself, it’s what happens afterwards,” Maltby said. “The day after Michael and I came home from freezing my eggs, he … he broke up with me and I was very, very blindsided by it. Clearly [I’m] still very emotional and hurt and confused. I still don’t have any answers. I’m in it.”
She added that “having to come off hormones while being in complete shock” was difficult to handle. “[I was in] complete physical shock. I am completely blind.”
“I am sad to lose him. I’m grieving the loss of a future that I really believed in and I’m grieving the loss of James,” Maltby said, referring to Allio’s son, James, who he shared with his late wife, Laura. “And I grieve for the loss of the security I felt with him for the first time.”
The “Bachelor In Paradise” star later admitted that Allio was “the first person who ever made me feel secure in a relationship, who made me feel like I was enough.”
She said that now that Allio has broken up with her, and now that her safety with him has been “taken away”, looking back on her egg retrieval surgery is “very difficult”. “I am very proud of myself [in that moment]. Michael took great care of me. It was a weekend full of love,” explained Maltby. “I was able to freeze eight eggs. Now I am very grateful because now I am alone.”

Michael Allio has confirmed the much-speculated news — that he and Danielle Maltby are no longer together. The “Bachelor In Paradise” alum admitted that they had a crush on each other, but ended up not getting along.
“I think I’ll go out with him. We’re not together anymore,” Allio said on the Trade Secrets podcast. “Yes, it’s not what we planned. We’ve both done a lot in this relationship and it’s really horrible when it doesn’t work out. Again, like what we talked about before you make your plan, you see your future, you start working towards it.”
“And then, when things don’t work out, when you realize it, the love is there, but you’re not necessarily compatible,” she added. “You’re mourning the loss of, not only that person and that friend in your life, but also the future you envisioned. And it’s not his fault.”
Allio goes on to explain how he still cares and respects Maltby, even explaining how much effort he put into the relationship. “He poured everything into this. And, I have, I just have so much admiration. Yeah, and I think that’s it, you know now,” he continued. “We’re still you know working through some things and trying to stay close. Yes, but yes, the last few months have been difficult.”
