Morocco-bound Ryanair makes U-turn, escorts ‘disruptive’ passengers off for allegedly doing drugs on board

Multiple “disruptive” passengers were marched off a plane that had to return to the departure location after allegedly taking drugs and verbally abusing staff, according to a report.

Ryanair’s flight to Morocco was just an hour into its normally four-hour flight out of London on December 7 when chaos struck.

Unable to defuse the argument, the crew was forced to make a U-turn and return to Stansted Airport, leaving passengers nervous and confused.

“It was very chaotic,” a 25-year-old passenger, who did not share their name, told SWNS.

“Everyone was shocked and wondering what happened. A guy was doing braces when we landed.”

Four “armed police” boarded the plane and brutally searched the plane for signs of illegal substances, according to passengers.

Footage showed several men being escorted off the plane, but Essex police later said no arrests had been made.

“This follows reports of drug use and verbal abuse on board,” the department told the outlet.

Police confirmed officers boarded the plane to search for narcotics but left empty-handed.

Ryanair – known for its chaotic flights – said its crew made a U-turn and called for police help after losing control of the small group of passengers.

“This flight from Stansted to Marrakesh (Dec 7) returned to Stansted Airport shortly after take-off when a small group of passengers became disturbed on the flight. The crew called for police assistance and the plane was met by local police upon arrival at Stansted Airport,” the Irish company said in a statement.

“To minimize disruption to passengers, Ryanair transferred passengers to an alternative flight departing for Marrakesh later that evening. Ryanair apologizes for any inconvenience caused to passengers as a result of this disruptive passenger.”
