A medical examiner has ruled on the cause of death of 41-year-old late “Pop Idol” star Darius Campbell Danesh who was found unconscious in his US apartment on August 11. His death was confirmed and announced by his family.
After a two-month waiting period, it has finally been revealed that the “West End” star died of ethyl chloride inhalation. The singer suffocated shortly after inhaling the anesthetic.
Although ethyl chloride, also known as chloroethane, is usually used recreationally, the Southern Minnesota Regional Hospital revealed that there are “toxic effects” that can cause “suffocation”. Another call was made to the “medical” team after they suspected the singer was dead. The apartment then called them back and asked them not to worry, as they planned to wait for the police to arrive at the scene of a possible fatality.
