Actress Denise Richards explains why actor Charlie Sheen “changed his tune” when it comes to their daughter, Sami Sheen, and her OnlyFans account.

On Tuesday’s episode of the ‘Just B’ podcast, as transcribed by Page Six, Denise Richards told host Bethenny Frankel that the “Platoon” actress changed her tune after seeing how much money Sami Sheen brought in through her lucrative OnlyFans account.
“He changed his tune when he bought a Mercedes and moved into a house,” says Denise, recalling that “When he first started OnlyFans, he wasn’t happy.” He went on to say how Sami “didn’t appreciate” how “general” his comments about her rejection were.
In June 2022, the “Anger Management” actor told the outlet, “He’s 18 now and lives with his mom. This is not happening under my roof.” She went on to say, “I don’t condone this, but since I can’t stop it, I urge her to keep it stylish, creative and not sacrifice her integrity.”

When he first heard that Sami Sheen had joined OnlyFans, the actor told Bustle: “I had a knee-jerk reaction to it because of the reputation that preceded it,” adding, “I was like, ‘Oh, this can only go. bad.'” However, it seems he has changed his mind.
“She did this and it can only be a more successful and pleasant experience with the support of myself, her mother, and others,” she explained. “I have to have faith and just know in my heart that all his goodness and all the greatness that makes him, him, comes with him.”
The “Wall Street” actor, 58, went on to say that Sami came to live with him in 2021, around the time he was trying to get sober. “What he benefited from, and I benefited uber, was that he was there towards the end of my drinking,” he said. “He got to see the journey up close and personal.”
The actor admits that he is “not a man who preaches [or] which requires constant attention or support to what [he’s] doing,” but he confessed that he was glad that Sami “was able to see the benefits of how living together in that domestic reality could improve completely and stay that way.”
“He could see that I was inconsistent and became the most reliable person in his life. Of course, it’s not a plan,” he added. “The universe brought us together when it happened, which is amazing.”

Elsewhere on the podcast, the former Playboy model admitted that she was “very naive” when it came to the actress’ addiction. He claimed that Charlie had been “sober for four years” and never questioned whether he might “relapse”.
“For me, that’s not a question,” he explained in comments transcribed by Many people magazine. “I said, ‘No,’ I don’t know that person. I only know who I met. And that was a man who had been sober for four years. I don’t judge him for his past because I think, his past made him who he is now. And the people I meet are very different from the people who turn around…”
While “a lot of people” gave him credit for reforming “that bad boy,” Denise admitted that she “wouldn’t have dated him if I had met him when he was in his addiction, deep into his addiction,” saying, “He’s sober, and the same person completely different. So that’s what I found.”

When asked if being with someone sober is “boring,” Denise replied, “It’s not boring. I’m not a partier.” She went on to say, “I didn’t think, ‘Oh, shoot. I just started dating Charlie Sheen and I just read all these crazy stories about him and why don’t we do it [those things]?”
Although he has seen controversial headlines about the actor, he admits that he “doesn’t know” which stories are true, insisting, “I just know the people I meet.”
Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen married in 2002 and separated in 2005 while Denise was six months pregnant with their daughter, Lola. Apart from Sami, 19, Denise is also the mother of Eloise, 7, whom she adopted as a single mother in 2011.
