“Orange Is The New Black” star Danielle Brooks married her husband Dennis Gelin. The couple tied the knot during a lavish ceremony at the historic DuPont Building in Miami, Florida. The actress walked down the aisle in a dream wedding gown by African-American designer Oluwagbemisola Okunlola of London-based designer label Alonuko.
The couple’s wedding was officiated by Danielle’s hometown priest and she was walked down the aisle by her father Dunel. Furthermore, the actress shared that her father lost 60 pounds naturally for his surgery and also to walk her down the aisle.
Danielle wrote, “My dad suffered for years with hip pain and had to lose a significant amount of weight before they would allow him to have surgery. He lost over 60 pounds naturally not only for his health but for his time as well! I love you Dad! Forever your baby girl!”
She and her father also had a father-daughter moment, at the reception when they danced together. Danielle shared footage of their dance on her IG which has 2.4 million followers at the time of writing.
