Transgender Chloe Cole had tough words to offer Ohio Governor Mike DeWine days after he rejected a bill that would have banned gender-affirming care for minors in her state, slamming the decision as allegedly “collusive.” in “sterilization and mutilation”. ” from children.
“Parents have no right to abuse their children. This is no different than any form of abuse,” Cole said Sunday on “Fox & Friends Weekend.”
“This is the sterilization and mutilation of thousands of children taking place in a state that is fully complicit in the choice to continue this.”
DeWine, a Republican, vetoed the GOP-backed Save Adolescents from Experimentation (SAFE) Act on Friday, sparking outrage from conservatives who denounced him as a “coward” for his decision.
The bill would ban gender confirmation procedures for minors in the Buckeye State and would also bar transgender athletes from competing in women’s sports.
“If I sign Foster Home Bill 68 or Foster Home Bill 68 into law, Ohio will be saying that the State, that the government, knows what is medically best for the child instead of the two people who are the most love that child. , parents,” DeWine said in his veto message.
He also cited the bill’s “profound” consequences for children struggling with gender dysphoria and their families and said the decision stemmed from input from parents who believed their children’s lives depended on the treatment they received.

“Ultimately, I believe this is about protecting human life. Many parents have told me that their children would not be safe, would be dead today if they had not received the care they received from one of Ohio’s children’s hospitals. I have also been told by those who are now adults that but for this care, they would have taken their lives when they were teenagers,” he said.
Cole, who previously took steps to complete the transition of women to men and has since been among the most vocal critics of gender-affirming care for minors, claimed DeWine’s veto came just days after she shared her story with him during a Zoom call.
“When I explained each step of the treatment, and especially when I mentioned how young I was during each step, 13 years old when my puberty was suppressed, when I was attracted to androgens, and I was 15 years old when my breasts were surgically removed, he looked disturbed. ,” he said.

“He knows how horrible this is for children. His decision to go ahead with this… it’s not just a matter of incompetence or ignorance.”
Cole previously told Fox News Digital that she fears the painful side effects of the gender reassignment procedure won’t stop, adding that she has lost faith in her health care providers and perhaps health care in general.
She revisited the discussion during Sunday’s segment, telling Fox News’ Rachel Campos-Duffy about the “lies” being sold by “activist doctors” to her parents.
“They were told that the decision was either one or the other [of] two things, either have a daughter who is very suicidal and ends up dead or a transgender son who is alive – but that’s not true. These children are not suicidal because they were born in the wrong body. This is a completely psychological issue and these children are not getting the help they need,” he said.

“They need psychiatric help. They need to know that they are perfect in the body they were born into. If he [DeWine] really believes in his heart that perfectly healthy children can be born wrong, that they need to be corrected, I think he should be fired from office.
Governor DeWine’s office declined a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
