Many around the world usually celebrate the season of love, Valentine’s Day, by paying tribute to their partners, and Rumer Willis is no exception to the tradition!
The 34-year-old actress, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas, couldn’t hold back her praise on the special day, crediting her for making her happiest as a mum.

Rumer gushed about her “sweet, sweet” man on Valentine’s Day with sweet words on Instagram along with six cute photos that showcase their love. The two looked totally in love in some of the pictures shared on Instagram, while others showed Thomas striking different funny poses.

One is a picture of her pretending to sit on one of two fake toilets filled with dirt outside a shop and another shows her rocking a funny headscarf and looking away from the camera. Fans can also see the indie musician’s face on his partner’s baby bump in the black-and-white image.
In the caption, Rumer began, “My sweet, sweet man @derekrichardthomas, I didn’t know that love could feel like this. I have never been so happy in my life.” She added that Thomas made everything “more fun, silly, and delightful” while still keeping her love. Revealing what made her fall in love with him, she wrote:
“Your silliness and laughter is something I am very grateful for and really made me fall in love with you.”
The “Hostage” star did not stop with praise as he appreciated her – again – for being his “partner in crime, confidant, best friend,” and always agreeing to every adventure. Continuing her gratitude, she thanked him for making her a mother and being her partner “on this wild ride of parenthood.”
Rumer later stated that she and their unborn child were lucky to love him because he had taken such “good care” of them, after which he signed off with “your lover’s day – Rue and Little [seedling emoji].”
The touching tribute did not go unnoticed by fans as they rushed to the comments to praise the lovers. One fan said, “To see you get the love you truly deserve makes my heart so happy! Happy Valentine’s Day to such an amazing couple.”
The second follower said, “Such a beautiful love story. And a blessed new family!” while another commenter was excited to see Rumer happily in love. Soon after, Thomas celebrated his lady with a similar Instagram post but featured eight photos, starting with her childhood photos and including a video of her stroking her baby bump.
“Roobie Rue,” she declared in an accompanying message. “I love you, baby, I love you!” before adding, “You are the best partner I could ask for, I love being around you.”

The father-to-be continues to appreciate her for being in his life and changing him forever. She also thanked him for starting a family with her while looking forward to dancing around the kitchen with their baby. Rumer was one of the first to react to the update when she wrote, “I love you so much,” before other excited fans called the two “lucky.”
Another supporter exclaimed, “I’m so happy for you guys!!! Ru will be a good mother!! Fatherhood will suit you, keep smiling.”

Last December, just before Christmas, Rumer and Thomas announced their pregnancy on Instagram with a black and white photo of her baby bump, which The Blast shared.
The upload also included frontman Vista Kicks and hinted that the child would be born in 2023. Unsurprisingly, it got congratulatory messages from fans around the world, including the Willis clan.
Following the announcement, the family was on cloud nine, with several members taking to social media to wish the parents-to-be well. Rumer’s mom, Demi Moore, was overjoyed to be a grandma when she reposted the exact photo on her Instagram and captioned it, “Entering my silly, unhinged grandma era.”
