Director Glenn Gordon’s statement about Bruce Willis’ health comes after news that his iconic 1985 comedy-drama series, “Moonlighting,” will be available to stream for the first time on Hulu.

The TV series that ran for five seasons follows the life of a wealthy entrepreneur and former model, Maddie Hayes (Cybil Shepherd), who runs the private company Blue Moon Detective Agency.

Along with his partner and chief detective, David Addison (Willis), the two investigate cases and help solve crimes. Some of their cases include ensuring the safety of VIPs and finding missing persons. At times, they are tasked with spying on unfaithful spouses.

The fun comedy helped relaunch Shepherd’s career and is considered by many to be Willis’ first step into movie stardom.

In his long list of iconic films and TV appearances, “The Fifth Element” may rank among Willis’ most cherished works.

He starred alongside Milla Jovovich, Chris Tucker, and Gary Oldman. Willis plays the main character, Korben Dallas, a former major from Planet Earth’s special forces who now works as a taxi driver. He teams up with Leeloo (Jovovich), a strange young woman who descends into his flying taxi out of nowhere.

The two pair up, and together, they go on a quest to collect four mystical stones that are essential to Earth’s survival against the forces of evil.

“The Fifth Element” was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $239 million on a $90 million budget. To this day, the film is still widely referenced for many of its iconic scenes, and it is considered by some to be one of the best sci-fi films ever made.

Regarding Willis’ filmography, “Die Hard” is a must watch to see Willis at his best.

The movie “Die Hard” is the actor’s most popular TV performance. The first installment, directed by John McTiermann in 1988, was based on Roderick Thorp’s 179 novel “Nothing Lasts Forever.”

Willis plays New York Police Detective John McClane, who happens to be present when terrorists take over a Los Angeles skyscraper. The actor was reportedly paid $5 million for his performance, making him one of Hollywood’s highest paid actors at the time.

Although the original received mixed reviews upon release, it grossed $140 million against a $35 million budget and became the tenth highest-grossing film of the year. It also received four Academy Award nominations and significantly increased Willis’ leading man status in Hollywood.

“I want to watch Die Hard but I’m afraid I won’t be able to recognize Bruce Willis without his bald head,” joked another.

A third person tweeted, “Bruce Willis was my action hero growing up, watching Die Hard for the first time on a small CRT in a hotel. The fact I’ll never hear him say Yippee Ki-Yay again saddens me. This type of neurosis I wouldn’t expect it from anyone.”
