Kelly Dodd’s husband, Rick Leventhal, has been hospitalized after suffering serious injuries from a car accident.
The “Real Housewives of Orange County” star shared photos and video footage from the wreckage on Instagram on Tuesday, January 10.

The front of the white Mercedes was completely crushed and the left driver’s side front bumper was completely ripped off and about 10 feet from where the car came to rest on the highway.
She captioned the terrifying post, “There will be no smash tomorrow on @youtube the rick and kelly show. My husband was in a horrible car accident. He’s in the ER.. please pray @rickleventhal.”
Leventhal actually commented on the post from his hospital bed.

Many of her followers and fellow housewives were quick to comment on the post.

Hours before Leventhal’s accident, Dodd shared a photo dump of her girls’ trip to Aspen, Colorado. It was unclear whether Dodd had flown back to California to be with her husband.

I have four broken ribs and my right leg, there is a fracture at the top. Other than that I’m fine. There was nothing internal they could find, but they wanted to keep me in the hospital for a while.”

“It could have been worse. I made a hydroplane. I headed east on I-10 about 40 minutes outside of Palm Desert, just hit what felt like an ice patch,” he continued. “The road is slippery. I lost control, crashing into the wall hard. Started spinning and crossed the lane of traffic and crashed right into the back of the tractor trailer.”
The impact tore off the front of his Mercedes, shattering his windshield and deploying his airbag. He thought he might have broken a rib from the airbag going off. Leventhal added that the truck driver helped him out.
Earlier this year, Dodd blasted Tamra Judge during her podcast and Leventhal.

During “Rick & Kelly’s Daily Smash,” Dodd’s husband started Tamra’s conversation by calling her their “top story.”
“On ‘Smash’ last night Kelly said something about Tamra and Eddie saying that she needs a paycheck from ‘Housewives’ because she’s the breadwinner in the family and Eddie doesn’t do much,” Leventhal said. Dodd added, “He’s the main breadwinner.”

He continued by adding that Tamra told people that her husband Eddie Judge went to law school, and that she had lied a lot. “Don’t be a liar, Tamra. You are a liar. I will start calling you,” he said. “Because you didn’t stand up for me at BravoCon. I’m just going to show everyone what a liar you are, and fake and fake, so here we go.”
