Although Diddy has been nominated for his first Grammy in eight years, his current sexual assault allegations may not make him eligible to attend the awards ceremony.

The Recording Academy is reportedly “evaluating” the presence of its awards in 2024 amid the controversy surrounding them. “We take this matter seriously and we are in the process of evaluating it with due time and care,” a representative for the Recording Academy told Radar Online.

The music mogul’s reputation took a nosedive after his ex-girlfriend Cassie accused him of rape, sex-trafficking, and physical abuse, among other scathing allegations in the lawsuit.

Since then several alleged victims have come forward and accused the rapper of similar heinous acts. Although Diddy maintains his innocence, things continue to look bad for him in the industry.

The update from the Recording Academy comes just days after Diddy was sued for the fifth time in three weeks. The victim, who identified herself as Jane Doe, is represented by Wigdor LLP, the law firm that filed Cassie’s suit.

In her Jane Doe lawsuit, she accuses Diddy of “gang rape and sex trafficking” when she was just 17 years old. Diddy’s friend and business partner, Harve Pierre, President of Bad Boy Entertainment, and a “third attacker” are co-defendants in the scathing lawsuit.

The unidentified victim claimed that it started when “Mr. Pierre approached him in a lounge in Michigan, near where he lived at the time, and told him he was ‘good friends’ with Mr Combs. He continued to call Mr. Combs, who is in New York City.”

After receiving Diddy’s call, the rap mogul invited Ms. Doe to join him in his New York Studio. “Mr. Combs convinced her, who was half his age at the time, to accompany Mr. Pierre and the Third Striker on a private jet to come to his studio in New York City,” the file said.

Things, however, started to get out of hand when the victim claimed that “Mr. Pierre smoked cocaine in the bathroom of the lounge, where he also sexually assaulted her by forcing her to give him oral sex.”

Upon reaching Diddy’s studio “the defendant drugged Ms. Doe with drugs and alcohol and brutally raped her, one by one.” The document continued, “As the night wore on, 17-year-old Ms. Doe became increasingly intoxicated, eventually to the point where she was unlikely to consent to sexual intercourse with anyone, more than someone twice her age.”

According to the plaintiff, while Diddy was raping her, she complained that she couldn’t “get off unless he pinched her nipples as hard as he could.” After that, “Mr. Pierre took turns raping Ms. Doe and then violently forced her to give him oral sex, during which Ms. Doe choked and struggled to breathe. When Mr. Pierre finished, he left Ms. Doe in the bathroom alone. Ms. Doe fell into the fetal position and lay on the floor.”

The anonymous victim attached a photo of that fateful night in her lawsuit, and Douglas H. Wigdor, founding partner of Wigdor LLP, shared a statement about the case:

“As alleged in the complaint, the Defendant preyed on a vulnerable high school teenager as part of a sex trafficking scheme involving drugs and alcohol and transported her by private jet to New York City where she was gang-raped by three individual defendants. at Mr. Combs’ studio. The depravity of this despicable act has, not surprisingly, affected our clients for life.”

Diddy Says ‘Enough Is Enough’

Following the new suit, Diddy, who has remained silent since the allegations hit, broke his silence with a social media post. He issued a statement titled “ENOUGH” to deny the allegations.

“For the past few weeks, I have sat quietly and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and legacy. Hurtful allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday,” he wrote.

The “Coming Home” rapper vehemently declared his innocence, writing, “Let me be clear: I did not do anything bad as alleged. I will fight for my name, my family, and for the truth.”

According to reports, approximately 18 businesses have cut ties with Diddy since the allegations began.
