A disturbing video shows a black Amazon delivery driver in Texas being brutally attacked by two white women inside a luxury building – one of whom accused him of being a “thief” as he tried to drop off a package.
JaMaiya Miller, 25, was out giving birth at the Belle Mead apartment complex in River Oaks near Houston on Dec. 16 and was called into the complex by a resident, KHOU reported.
However, once he was inside the building, the same resident who let him in to deliver a package told him he shouldn’t be there.
Another woman showed up and the two unidentified women allegedly assaulted Miller.
In a TikTok video posted by an Amazon employee, a woman can be heard saying, “We’ve had thieves here and you’re a thief!”
Miller then said, “I’m sorry, don’t touch me,” but the woman continued to put her hands on the Amazon employee.
Meanwhile, another woman threatens to call security.
“OK, yeah, please do that, because he’s bothering me,” Miller told him.
“I’m calling security!” residents screamed.

“Thank you, please call security,” Miller said, prompting the woman to yell, “No, on you! On you!”
Meanwhile, the first woman is seen pushing the driver against a wall and assaulting him.
“Forgive me, ma’am! Forgive me, ma’am!” Miller pleaded.
“He hit me with his phone, made all kinds of demands, and he also really stopped me from going anywhere,” she told KHOU.

“It was the scariest thing because I didn’t know how it was going to end,” he told the outlet.
“It seemed like a wild scene with me, a black woman, with these two rich white women. Honestly, that was the scariest part, was how willing they were to physically attack me.”
A doorman eventually arrived and defused the situation, allowing Miller to escape and call 911. Houston police said they are investigating the incident.

In the video, Miller wrote: “This woman spews racist stories, like I’m a thief, and hits me several times … I’ve never experienced racist behavior like that, Karen. It’s very unusual, but also completely on brand with the way white women have historically weaponized their privilege.
“The best example in this video is when he claims I hit him, while actually hitting me,” he wrote.
Management at Belle Meade at River Oaks told KHOU that it was “aware of the untoward incident” and that “the actions of a third party do not, in any way, reflect the values of Belle Meade at River Oaks.
“We are very concerned about creating a welcoming environment and the safety of all residents, guests, employees and service providers,” the statement said.

It added that building policy requires all packages to be delivered to the concierge desk. However, Miller said his instructions were to deliver the package to the suite.
“To the best of our understanding, a resident mistakenly allowed an Amazon delivery driver into the limited access elevator and resident hallway in the building, where the event occurred,” said Belle Meade of River Oaks.
“At this time, we are exploring all options and cooperating fully with the Houston Police Department. Due to the ongoing investigation, please direct all further inquiries to HPD,” he added.
The tony apartment complex features real oak floors, 10-foot ceilings, an executive business center and a 24-hour fitness center.
Police said their Major Assault Division will interview everyone involved and present the material to the District Attorney’s Office for possible charges, according to KHOU.

An Amazon representative told Click 2 Houston in a statement that the video was “disturbing.”
“We are supporting delivery partners and working with law enforcement as they investigate,” the company said.
“We proactively communicate to drivers who deliver for Amazon that they should not make a delivery if they feel unsafe,” he added.

Miller, who said he was wearing an Amazon jacket during the incident, is glad he showed restraint.
“Imagining myself hitting that old lady right now doesn’t make me feel good. Imagining if I do that doesn’t bring me a good feeling,” he told the outlet.
“I’m glad I handled it the way I did so it was clear who the attacker was.”
Miller said he has taken a leave of absence from work after the frightening encounter.
“It’s very disturbing,” he told the Houston Chronicle. “I lost sleep. It’s hard to eat. It took me a while to edit and post the video because it was hard to watch.”
