He attended Janki Devi Memorial College in Delhi to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons). He was very good at studies in childhood. His mother wanted him to study hard and become something in life. As a child, his mother never allowed him to watch movies. While talking about it in an interview, Divya said,
I rarely watch movies; I am very studious. That was my life in Delhi. My mother also never encouraged going to the cinema. We used to watch very limited films.”
While he was in college, he started doing print ads. He was 18 at the time. At the age of 20, Divya moved to Mumbai from Delhi.

Divya Khosla met Bhushan Kumar for the first time during the shooting of the film “Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo” (2004). While Bhushan is impressed by his charm, Divya keeps a distance from him because of his Casanova image in the industry. Soon, they exchanged phone numbers for work purposes. The two start chatting, and after a few days, Divya backs out. After Divya stops responding to Bhushan’s messages, Bhushan sends his cousin, Ajay Kapoor, to Divya’s house in Delhi to find out why she is not responding to his messages. Later, Divya receives a message from Bhushan (which she wanted to send to Ajay but mistakenly sent it to Divya) saying, “What did he say? Did he say yes?.” The incident made Divya realize that Bhushan is serious about her. Afterwards, Bhushan invites Divya and her family to her sister’s wedding, where the two families meet and discuss things further. She married Bhushan Kumar, son of Late Gulshan Kumar, in 2005 at Maa Vaishno Devi temple, Katra. The couple has a son, Ruhaan.

Career
Divya started her career by featuring in a music video titled ‘Honey Honey’ starring Salman Khan.
As an Actor
Divya started her acting career in 2004 with Bollywood movie “Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo” where she played the role of ‘Shweta Rajeev Singh.’ In the same year, she made her Tollywood debut with the film “Love Today.” Next, she featured in the songs “Akkad Bakkad” and “Humne Pee Rakkhi Hain” from the movie “Sanam Re.” In 2017, Khosla played the lead role in Ashish Panda’s short film “BulBul.”
As Director
Divya made her directorial debut in 2014 with the college romance film “Yaariyan.” After that, he directed the romantic drama “Sanam Re.”
