DJ Envy Insures His Valuables
The co-host of the popular morning show “The Breakfast Club” takes a serious look at the state of rap culture today and how far artists have to go to get their valuables, possibly saving their own lives.
“It’s sad,” claimed Envy who was met at LAX. “When I move With my jewelry, I move with protection.”
He went on to extend the protection gauge reference. “Protection can be safety, self-protection, or maybe just keeping me safe.”
Envy states that there are only a few places he won’t go with valuables. “When I move in a certain place, I leave my stuff at home. I have six children and a wife, so I want to make sure I get back to them.”

DJ Envy Disagrees We Don’t Have To Go To That Length

It seems like a lot of extra work just to wear something bought to wear Envy agreed, “I don’t have to,” she said seriously.
“Nobody wants to take someone’s life for a piece of metal, jewelry, diamond or watch. It’s not right,” he stated in reference to the “I Like Girls” rapper.
Unfortunately, the hip-hop community sees flaunting their chains and diamonds as part of the culture. It is an expression of their creativity, some of these works are unique and although they look flashy, they have sentimental as well as financial value.
Envy appeals to society. “As a community, we need to make sure we look out for each other… take care of each other.” Compared to attacking each other because of material things.

Rapper PnB Rock was enjoying bad luck when he was gunned down in front of his longtime girlfriend and the restaurant’s customers. The attacker took his watch and left him for dead. Envy expresses his disgust with the situation that happened.
“All these senseless killings because of a watch, it’s nothing. You took that man’s jewelry, and you’ll spend the rest of your days in jail when you get caught.” He said confidently. “That’s not right, it’s not worth it. No more than any ornament.”
Envy reiterates that when he has something of value, he has security with it. “Besides, I know what it is, the streets aren’t cruel now and people are looking for ideas, however they can get them.”

PnB Rock Is Just The Latest Rapper Killed For Jewelry

It was reported that rapper Nipsey Hussle was targeted and killed because of the popularity of his store Marathon. According to the LAPD investigation, the killer allegedly observed the movement of the store and the rapper to and from the establishment.
