Career
In 2015, while pursuing her master’s degree, she started her fashion blog, Spill The Sass. She sets new fashion trends by posting pictures, budget styling videos, various outfit hacks, accessories, outfit shopping videos and more, on various social media platforms. On April 17, 2016, he started his own YouTube channel.
As part of her graduation project, Dolly Singh did an internship with iDiva, an online portal for women that offers a variety of women-centric content. After completing her internship, iDiva offered her a job as a content writer. At that time, Facebook had given a contract to iDiva to make videos. Since the company lacks actors, all employees working at iDiva pitch in to perform various tasks. Dolly started out as a producer and writer, but eventually, she ended up as an actress. In 2017, Santu Misra, the director of iDiva, came up with the idea of making a video about the stereotype of the ‘South Delhi Girl.’ Dolly Singh, along with her co-star Kusha Kapila, starred in the video series and gained immense popularity. iDiva- South Delhi Girl Type: Part 1, marks the beginning of Dolly’s successful career as a YouTuber. Later, she appeared in various other iDiva videos.
After the success of the series ‘South Delhi Girls’, Dolly could not look back. After that, she appeared with various other characters in her videos, such as ‘Zeenat,’ ‘Mrs. Kapoor,’ ‘Natasha,’ ‘Renu Reckless,’ ‘Guddi Bhabi,’ ‘Bubbly,’ etc.

- Dolly came from a humble background and had a difficult childhood. In an Instagram post, he revealed that he used to live in a small house in Nainital, and he could barely afford any toys. During the day, her parents would work at their gift shop, Apna Baazar, and she would take care of her brother at home. In 2019, he uploaded a video on his YouTube channel, ‘My Real House Tour,’ featuring his parents’ house in Nainital. The video is purely raw, without any edits, and it is loved by his fans because it showcases reality.
- During her school days, Dolly Singh was bullied for being thin and dark-skinned. In a YouTube video, the fashion blogger confessed that her schoolmates would call her ‘kaali ladki,’ ‘Sukhi Dandi,’ or ‘bone bag.’ He is not only shamed by his fellow students, but he is also shamed by his teachers for not belonging to the upper class society. In an interview, she recounted an incident where she was not allowed to attend a farewell party and was sent home, simply because her dress did not conform to the party’s dress code.
- After completing her studies, Dolly took a year to appear in the CAT exam, the entrance test for MBA. To his dismay, he could not taste success in it. After that, he went on to appear in the NIFT exam. Not only did she qualify the exam but also got an all India rank 3, and she was admitted to the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi.
