The former president shared that he had gone with his mother-in-law, Amalija Knav, who is now very ill and hospitalized. He also prayed for a speedy recovery from the undisclosed illness.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has confirmed speculation about the health status of his mother-in-law, Amalija Knav.
In a video of him addressing a gathering of supporters outside his Palm Beach, Florida, estate, Trump revealed that the septuagenarian was “very sick.” Although he did not reveal what illness he was suffering from, he wished him a speedy recovery and confirmed he had just finished speaking on the phone with his wife, Melania Trump, who is now with Knav in a hospital in Miami.
“Hopefully she will recover,” Trump said of his mother-in-law, per Page Six. “Hopefully, it will be fine, but it’s a tough one, a really tough one.”
The billionaire mogul also conveyed that his wife “sends her love” to supporters who came to ring in the new year.
“He probably knows about 95 percent of the people in this room,” he added. “We just want to pray for Amalija that she recovers as soon as possible.”

It comes after sources confirmed that Melania spent Christmas with her mother instead of the Trump family.
“Melania has always been very loyal to her entire family,” a source close to the former first lady told the publication. “No wonder he’s spending this Christmas with his sick mother.”
Melania’s decision prevented her from attending the Trump family’s Christmas celebration at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach. Pictures of the family enjoying the day at the luxury resort club also surfaced on social media, which initially raised questions about his whereabouts.
