Former President Donald Trump is basking in the success of his sold-out gold sneakers, which he launched at Sneaker Con just a day after being fined $355 million in his New York fraud trial.
Trump’s legal woes are piling up as he was recently ordered to pay $83 million to former columnist E. Jean Carroll for allegedly defaming him. He will also appear in court next month for Stormy Daniels’ trial over hush money paid during the 2016 presidential campaign.

On Wednesday, Trump excitedly took to his social media pages to announce that his expensive gold sneakers had sold out less than a week after launching at Sneaker Con. The former president posted a picture of the gold shoe with the bold letters “out” written boldly in red.
Down in the comments section of the post was a mixture of praise for Trump’s ability to sell shoes and confusion at the taste level of those who bought the golden shoes.
One individual wrote, “NY fined him all the money he likes let me drop the shoes real quick and get them back lol.”
One MAGA supporter commented, “Everything you touch is gold.”
A third person said, “I am very excited to help you pay off all your legitimate debts. Please restock?”
Another proudly wrote, “MAGA SHOES” along with four fire emojis.
Amid love from his supporters, critics slammed Trump for selling shoes after being fined in New York.
“What the h—, Are you a [presidential] candidate or shoe seller [?]” asked one.
“Very flashy shoes. Your cult members will love them. The rest of us laugh at them,” wrote a critic of the former president.
Another said, “Who in their right mind would get such a horrible, kitschy design?”
“The economy must be doing well if people can spend money on this,” commented a fourth person.
Another wrote, “$399 for $14 shoes to pay legal fees. Grifter will Grifter.”

Aside from buying Trump’s golden shoes, MAGA fans have also decided to use the fundraising platform GoFundMe to raise money for the former president after he was fined $355 million in his fraud trial in New York.
At the time of writing, the GoFundMe page, launched by MAGA supporter Elena Cardone, wife of tycoon Grant Cardone, has raised nearly $900,000 thanks to more than 16,000 donations.
Elena stated in the page’s description, “This is more than a legal fund; it is a clarion call to all patriots to rally to the defense of a man who never hesitated to defend us.”
He added, “It’s about showing that when one of us is targeted for standing up for the values that make America great, he doesn’t stand alone. We stand with him, shoulder to shoulder, ready to support, defend, and oppose a system that threatens to undermine the foundations of our republic.”
Elena’s husband Grant, who is a multi-millionaire, also urged people to donate to GoFundMe. He wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “Give something & DEMONSTRATE that Americans stand together against unfair decisions like this where bias [sic] corrupt judges & legal system out of control.”
Trump himself has yet to acknowledge the existence of a GoFundMe set up on his behalf.
Donald Trump Criticizes New York Decision

After being fined $355 million by Judge Arthur Engoron and barred from doing business in New York for the next three years, Trump used his social media platform, Truth Social, to issue the ruling and accused the judge of being “crooked.”
He wrote, “A Crooked New York State Judge, working with a totally corrupt Attorney General who ran on the basis of ‘I’m going to get Trump,’ before knowing anything about me or my company, just fined me $355 Million based on anything else. instead of building a GREAT COMPANY. ELECTION DISRUPTION. LABOR HUNTING.”
In a video message to his supporters, Trump echoed similar sentiments, describing the decision as something never seen in America.
He said in a short clip, “This is Russia, this is China, this is the same game. It all came out of the DOJ; it all came out of Biden. It was a witch hunt against his political opponents, the likes of which our country had never seen before. You see it in third world countries, banana republics, but you don’t see it here.”
In a recent interview with ABC News, AG Letitia James stated that if the former president cannot pay his fine, she will seize his assets.
“If he doesn’t have the funds to pay the judgment, then we will get the judgment enforcement mechanism in court, and we will ask the judge to seize his assets,” James told the media.
