Actress Donna D’Errico is getting more candid about her body and her experience with plastic surgery in a new Instagram post.
The 55-year-old actress gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at her standing in a long-sleeved bodysuit as she reflected on how she’s come to accept her body over the years.

On Sunday morning, the “Baywatch” star posted a photo on Instagram of herself facing away from the camera. She was showing off her toned figure and her “tush,” as one fan called her, in a long-sleeved bodysuit.
However, in the caption, the “Frank and Penelope” actress admitted that there was a time when she struggled to accept her body before she wowed fans with her honesty and transparency about how her body has changed over the years.
“Reception is an interesting thing. We all want it, we crave it, whether we want to admit it or not,” he wrote in the caption. “We try to conform to society’s standards and norms and do what is expected of us for fear of being rejected or criticized. We want to be loved, admired, appreciated…desired. Including. important noticed.”

“When we are criticized or rejected, it stings. We may act as if it doesn’t bother us but it really does. We suddenly feel inadequate. Less than. Not good enough,” he continued. “We start comparing ourselves to others to see how we don’t measure up. Every one of us has experienced this at some point. Some more than others. I’m here to tell you that you ARE good enough. You ARE important. You are amazing. Just like you.”
“It took me a while to figure it out myself. When cancer wrapped its claws around my mother and ripped her out of my life, I let myself go completely. Stop exercising. eat A lot. Months lay in sorrow. Filming the film required me to gain more weight and so I ate more,” he explained. “When I finally came out of the haze of grief, I didn’t recognize the person staring back at me in the mirror. I decided that my mother wouldn’t like what I was going to be, so I pulled myself out of the dirt and went to the gym and cleaned up my diet.”
Donna went on to say that she lost 40 pounds in 6 months, adding, “The weight loss left some loose skin that I didn’t like so I went in and buttoned it up and I’m not ashamed to admit it. It makes me feel better and more confident. People like to say I owe it to plastic surgery. If saying that and believing it makes them feel better about themselves, go for it.”

“I know what it takes to get my body to where I want it to be and for me, that’s enough. Therefore, when I was offered to do this photo shoot, the photographer asked me what my comfort zone was as far as showing skin,” he explained. “I thought about it. I knew there would be people who would criticize me. In the end, I decided to just do it. So this is me. All about me. From every angle.”
“No, I’m not perfect. But perfect is impossible and boring. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoy freeing myself from the fear of judgment by posting them,” he concluded. “And if you don’t, that’s ok too. Peace and love and light my friends.”
