In July 2022, she told Fox News that she had stopped defining herself by other people’s expectations of who she should be and what she should look like.

“Once upon a time I used to allow what other people think about me to really bother me and even determine my actions,” he explained. “And the ‘others’ I’m talking about are almost exclusively other women. Strangers in public or haters online, so many women seem to love putting other women down.”

“It affected me badly over time,” Donna confessed. “No matter how great I feel about how I look when I leave the house, if I take a picture while I’m out, I get absolutely ripped apart by most women who make fun of everything about me in the comments online.”

“They always like to make fun of my legs,” he said. “I have thick legs, always have and always will. It is how I was made. They will also make fun of my legs, my hands, stretch marks, cellulite, my teeth are too big, I’m too short, I’m not as pretty as the actor or actress, my clothes are ugly, I have no style, my face is too round, my eyes are too far, my eyebrows are too thin, my hairline is too low, etc.

He also talked about the time when a female reporter mocked him for having stretch marks.

“I remember when I was on ‘Baywatch’ this female reporter interviewed me on camera while I was wearing my swimsuit,” she said. “He pointed to my leg and asked, ‘What is that?’ I watched the camera pan to where he was pointing at my feet. He pointed out a stretch mark on one of my hips that I had when I was pregnant with my son. He knew exactly what they were but wanted to show them on camera and ask me about them.”

“Then the camera pans back to me waiting for my answer,” he continued. “I awkwardly looked around and then dropped to the ground and quietly said, ‘Stretch mark.’ Then the female reporter said, ‘Did you say stretch marks?’ And I saw the camera again pointing down at my feet. I thought I was going to throw up. I looked up at the female reporter, and she grinned. I ended the interview and quickly ran away with tears in my eyes. I still remember that to this day. Women are evil.”

Fortunately, the critical comments about her appearance no longer bother her the way they once did.

“Life is shorter than you realize and there will always be someone with something nasty to say so be happy and don’t hurt anyone and do what makes you happy,” she said before thanking her social media followers for their support.

“I was blown away by all the supportive comments on my Instagram posts,” she added. “It seriously made me cry.”
