Donna D’Errico Says Her Car Is ‘Totaled’ After LA Flooding

Actress Donna D’Errico survived the rising flood waters in LA, but it looks like her car isn’t in good shape.

As The Blast previously reported, the “Baywatch” alum posted a video showing her stranded in the middle of the water on the floor before AAA was able to come and get her to safety.

Unfortunately, in an update he gave fans on Thursday night, it appears the same cannot be said for his car, which he said has been hydro-locked and totaled.

‘Baywatch’ Babe Donna D’Errico Says Car Is ‘Total’ After Caught in LA Flood

On Thursday night, the “Frank and Penelope” actress shared a 20-second clip on Instagram of a mechanic explaining what exactly was wrong with his car, though he never appeared on screen. Instead, Donna focused on the hood of the car, showing the water still churning inside the vehicle.

“We’re doing an inspection here on your vehicle,” the man began. “What we found is that your vehicle is hydro-locked. That’s when excess water goes into the intake and it goes into the engine and you get water inside, as you can see here, all the water, and [that’s] the reason why it stops and does not start.”

In the caption, Donna wrote, “Well that sucks.” He also included the hashtags #hydrolocked, #totaled, #byebye, #gonegirl and #hastalavista. His “Frank and Penelope” co-star Charley Koontz commented “Sooooooo disappointing, but I’m glad you’re safe!” Fans are eager to try to help, offering what little support they can in the comments.

“It might be salvageable if you know someone who is mechanically inclined. Pull all the spark plugs and crank the engine. It will shoot all the water out. Mechanically probably still good. Needs an oil change though,” wrote one follower. “Yeah but it needs happens quickly or parts start to rust internally,” said another enthusiast.

“It adds up? Really? They can always try to remove the spark plug, turn it over a few times to remove the water, and then try to start it. Sometimes if the engine doesn’t run too long after the water gets in, and nothing is bent, you might get lucky. I’ve done it before,” said another user.

“Get a second opinion. Your electronics may get wet but it’s pretty hard to get water into the engine unless submerged. The water is not that deep. The mechanic wants your car is what I see,” one follower shared, but another fan pointed out that it looked like his car was completely submerged in his last video.

Donna’s Car Looks In Pretty Bad Shape!

On Tuesday morning, the 54-year-old actor took to Instagram to share a video of himself and his vehicle caught in flash floods around the LA area.

“The rain here in LA is causing flash flooding on the streets and it’s no joke,” he wrote in the caption. “Driving home tonight my car died on its own when I hit what I thought was a puddle but was more like a pond. It was just turned off and stopped and hasta la vista.”

“That looks like someone wearing waders to go fishing, but no. That’s me trying to get someone down to help me push my car,” he explained. “I went to put it in neutral so it could be pushed….oh yeah, can’t change gears unless engine started. Oh God.”

“AAA had to come to my rescue and get him out of there and to my house. I hope it’s not locked,” he wrote. “Big thanks to @rhyan_derrico for coming out and staying with me the whole time, two guys who stopped to help, and two women who stopped to help.”

“It was cold and rainy and they had places they had to go, but saw me in trouble and stopped to lend a hand. I hope I get their names,” he added, advising his followers to “Have fun out there everyone.”

Unfortunately, it looks like his car may not have survived. Luckily, though, it looks like Donna made it home safely, and that’s all that matters!
