During Dotun Olubeko’s Fantasy Suite appointment with Charity Lawson, the Integrative Physician admitted to Lawson, “You said you were looking for your husband, right? Umm, so this is kind of funny. I really don’t know much about the show.”
He went on to say, “So I didn’t really understand what happened at the end of all this — until maybe three or four weeks ago. I asked one of the men, ‘What happened?’ And they were like, ‘It’s an engagement.’ And maybe for a millisecond, I was shocked.”
The two ended up getting engaged on the “Bachelorette” live finale. Following the “After the Final Rose” episode, Olubeko took to Instagram to break the silence on this journey.
“It’s a dream story… some days I still can’t believe it’s reality itself. But it feels like there’s a lifetime of heart and soul between us,” he began. “Through it all we have formed an unbreakable bond that has culminated in a once-in-a-lifetime story of serendipity,” he continued before adding, “And consider this just the beginning. There is much more to be had, felt and built.”
Olubeko concluded with, “You have revived my passion to enter this next stage of life. And I’m excited to do it together, with you. I love you.”
