Drake Breaks Silence About Health Issues As He Takes Break From New Music

Drake is taking a well-earned break from music to focus on his health!

The rapper, born Aubrey Drake Graham, surprised fans on Friday by announcing a hiatus from music. The Canadian needs time away from the studio to maintain other priorities, particularly his well-being.

The “God’s Plan” hitmaker’s announcement comes in the wake of the social media backlash the entertainer has received over the repeated delays of his eighth studio album, “For All the Dogs.” Once the LP drops, fans can kiss any new songs goodbye for at least a year.

Drake says his well-being affects his absence and vows to others. “I probably won’t make music for a while, I’ll be honest. I’ve got some other things I need to do for other people that I’ve promised, but I probably won’t be making music for a while,” the chart-topper admitted.

“I will be really with you. I have to focus on my health, first and foremost, and I will talk about that soon. Nothing crazy, but just like, you know, I want people to be healthy in life,” the Canadian sensation continued before spilling the tea on his gastrointestinal issues.

“I’ve had the craziest problems over the years with my stomach,” the Grammy winner revealed. “So I have to focus on my health, and I have to be right, and I will.” Reiterating that he has other priorities outside of making new music, the Teen Choice Award recipient added,

“I have a lot of other things I want to focus on, so I’m going to lock the studio door for a while. I don’t know what it was a little, um, maybe a year or something, maybe a little more.”

Drake’s announcement hints that “For All The Dogs” will be his final gift to fans until his hiatus is over. Speaking about the performer’s eighth studio project, the “One Dance” artist gave an interesting album review with his famous rhythmic linguae.

“How can I explain this album to you? I’ll keep it short and sweet. Please don’t ask me what I feel if you can’t handle the real thing, that’s all,” the singer raps.

“I apologize in advance; that might be an alternative album title too. You know, to All My Exes, I’ll tell you one thing, you know the value of every wallet, but you sure don’t know the value of hard work. God bless you all, though,” the 36-year-old said bravely.

The image features a white dog with red eyes, and underneath this cute doodle is a heartbreaking announcement. Drake explained that he was stuck between completing his studio project and prioritizing his ongoing concert.

“Well, my dilemma I’m facing is either I cancel the plan to finish the album or I complete the mission and drop the album before the last show,” revealed the 36-year-old. “I owe you all these memories. We’re building, and wherever we’ve missed so far, we’ll definitely bounce back.”

The “Degrassi: The Next Generation” star promised the album would drop on Friday, October 6, but fans aren’t convinced given his previous broken promises. One disappointed admirer wrote: “Drake has really rejected every album he’s made. He also rejected TML (Thank Me Later), so idk why I’m surprised. But it will always surprise me.”

Another disgruntled social media user wailed: “Why is Drake announcing a release date for an album that isn’t ready yet?” These critics also voiced their anger at the Hip-hop star a few days earlier when he appeared at a strip club with a large Tupperware filled with cash.
