It’s been 25 years since Drew Barrymore and Corey Feldman met each other, but the latest episode of “The Drew Barrymore Show” has kept that distance. The two child stars, who dated briefly in their younger years, had a sweet reunion and reminisced about the past.

The emotional reunion took place on “The Drew Barrymore Show” on Wednesday when Feldman, 51, was a guest on the show. The two old friends take a walk down memory lane reminiscing about their childhood encounters and brief teenage dating.
“Oh my God, I’m so happy to see you,” said Barrymore, 47, as she made a seat for her long-lost friend. “We haven’t seen each other, how long has it been? 25 years!” Feldman added, “We’re conscious together, we’re unconscious together, we’re conscious together,” he said.
Barrymore continued, “We’re the same kids. You know, like, sometimes I’ll say to people, we’re just kids like that’s kind of a euphemism. We’re in our 20s, we’re still kids.” Feldman then brought up their first date, asking if Barrymore remembered it, but she didn’t and asked her to tell him about it. “What happened was, I got a call one day, my grandmother said, ‘We got a call from Steven [Spielberg’s] office, and the little girl from ‘ET’ wants to meet you because she likes you,’” he began. “
Barrymore then jumped in to confirm that she actually liked Feldman back then. “Oh yes, I did. The biggest one. But everybody does,” she said. Feldman replied, “I don’t feel that way. You know I don’t feel that way because I’m very insecure.”
Barrymore then added her thoughts by saying, “But that’s what makes me love you because I love the idea of you and I love you as an actor and humor, but knowing you, what I’ve always been drawn to is your lack. ego. And we’re around a lot of good people, but a lot of people fall prey to self-indulgence, and you don’t.
Feldman continues the first date story reminiscing about their “little game” as kids, years away from getting their driver’s licenses. “I remember taking you to the movies. I still remember exactly that movie theater,” he said. “We were walking across the street, and you put your little hand out for me to hold. And I held your hand, and we walked across the street. I don’t remember what movie we were watching, but I remember all of it, and that was the first , and then after that we just stayed friends and then it was years later before we actually dated.”
