The best friends and longtime co-stars reunited on an episode of “The Drew Barrymore Show,” airing Tuesday, Dec. 6. During the show, the couple discussed their two films, 1998’s “The Wedding Singer” and 2003’s “50 First Dates.”

The Blast shared that the two also revealed a cute behind-the-scenes secret that Barrymore explained she’s been doing on the sets of both movies. During their conversation, he asked Sandler to choose just one film that he felt would best represent him if it were to be put into a time capsule.

The “Uncut Gems” star responded by explaining the plot of one of their most popular movies, “The Wedding Singer.” The father of two also mentioned that he was not allowed to sing “Grow Old With You” to her. He recalled when he said, “I wrote that song,’ [and Barrymore said] ‘I don’t want to hear it!’

The “Poison Ivy” star added, “That’s my reaction to a movie for the first time. I did that with ‘Forgetful Lucy,’ too,” referring to her character on “50 First Dates.”
